As soon as everyone reached the dorm they gathered on the chairs outside.
"Our leader?" Violet asked.
"That would be Maeisha. You would better get yourself cleaned up and dressed. I will take care of your boots for you." Roi said as from the very beginning they had been following her orders. No one had even thought of not following her as all her ideas had kept them from getting punished till now.
Since no one had any objections Maei nodded and grabbed her bathing things as well as her dressing uniform. She showered quickly and got dressed.
"Go quickly. We will take care of your things." Celaena remarked as it was getting close to her reporting time.
"Ok. Everyone make sure that your gear and stuff is stored cleanly and properly just in case." Maei ordered as she was leaving.
"yes yes. Now go!" Simon retorted languidly and everyone chuckled long gotten used to her nagging them.
Maei shook her head as she checked herself in the mirror before grabbing her pad and walking out. She checked the directions for the Battle Master's office on the pad.
The battle School was built very efficiently. It had different section for different flights. A huge hall for mess or canteen. A private building for all the instructors, a meeting hall, Auditorium big enough to fit everyone from the school, a building for mind classes, play area, administration building and lastly the scrimmage area.
Each flight had the same amenities. Flights usually had the same buildings with a common room, wing dorm room, Girls and Boys shower rooms, Gym and training room. For the first years, first 3 months they, were kept separately from the rest of the school before categorising them into flights.
Maeisha walked for 20 minutes before she was able to reach the administration building. She walked upto the receptionists and asked for the Battle Master.
"Maeisha reporting as requested by the Battle Master." She announced to the woman in her section.
"Yes. Please go straight to fourth floor and report in."
Maei turned for the elevators to the fourth floor. Before she could press the button to call the lift someone else beat her to it. She turned her head and was shocked to see Rhys standing there.
"What are you...", before realising that he was her brother's leader in school. "Hello." She said correcting herself.
Rhys was amused and surprised to find her here. According to procedures she should be with the other first years at the other side of the school as it had only been a two weeks, unless she was called here.
"What floor?" He asked as they entered the lift.
"Fourth" She answered and he was even more surprised because the battle master had his office on that floor. He had an inkling of why he was called.
"How are you doing?" He asked concerned as the first three months were hard on a new student.
"Good. Though its hard I am having fun." She said excitedly to him.
He had expected that as Lorcan had told him that she was obsessed with getting stronger and loved Battle School.
Soon they reached the fourth floor. Rhys waited for her to leave the lift before following her to meet battle master's aide outside.
"Maeisha reporting as requested." She reported again and Rhys informed her next.
"Rhys Griffin leader of Alpha flight reporting as requested." Rhys announced confidently.
"Go straight in Rhys. He is waiting for you." the woman replied.
Rhys nodded before he walked into the office and shut the hatch.
Lona Blethen studied Maeisha for a moment making her wonder what was going on. She had heard much about her during the past few days.
"Take a seat. You are early." She revealed with a smile before going back to her paperwork. Sol had a bad habit of leaving his paperwork to her.
Maeisha nodded and sat nervously, but she didn't know why she was so nervous. It wasn't like she hadn't seen the battle master before.
Five minutes later Lona glanced to Maei before prompting her, "In you go now Maeisha."
"Thank you ma'am." She said politely as she stood and went to the hatch. She knocked before opening it and walked inside while closing it behind her.
"You wanted to see me Master?" She only glanced at Rhys who was still in the room before looking at Sol.
"Yes" Sol smiled, "I guess you are wondering what is going on. This is Rhys, you already know him. Rhys I will leave it to you to explain." He said as his comm ear beeped and he stood suddenly with a serious face. "I have to go prevent Nessa from strangling a student."
"Yes master" Rhys saluted as Sol ran out.
Rhys turned to Maei and smiled. "Lets go to your wing and I will explain."
He was astonished by what dad had just told. Maei had broken the record to form a wing and lead them properly. He had known she was special but not that she was this good.
"Of course....sir?" Maei asked as they left the office and walked towards her dorm.
"I guess I rate a sir, but please don't. Just call me Rhys and you are Maei. Though the others in your wing have to call me Sir." Rhys said in a friendly tone as they made their way briskly.
Everyone they came across were startled to find him talking to a first year so happily. In fact they were just startled to see him talk at all. Since when did this emotionless guy talk to anyone happily.
Maei was confused. Should she call him sir then...
