Chapter 7 - The Life You’ll Live(End)

Everything was suddenly restored, and everyone grew happier again. For some reason though, Suruyu was really emotional while she cried and hugged me. "It's okay jesus, I'm fine I promise." I assure Suruyu, as she slowly moves off of me in an emotional way.

"Are you sure?" She asks me, while I look down at  her with a smile, and reassuring nod. She smiles from this. "If you're sure then..better not be lying" she threatened, with her finger pointed at me and a squint, causing me to chuckle.

After that, Heasu and Heasa joins next to us. "Remember when I was talking about how I could sense the darkness in your dads soul? I was going to say that he also had a bright light in his soul. That's probably why he was able to get into the afterlife, despite the darkness. That darkness was canceled out by the light. He's a special one. Even the fact that he remembered his past lives after death, is something." Heasa said to me, with a smile. Everything was so peaceful, especially with the lions that were in my afterworld.

"In darkness there's light.." Suruyu says, as the calm wind starts to blow through us.

"Also, what did you mean when you said deal with the gods?" I questioned, while looking at both Heasu and Heasa. Heasa then put on a guilty smile, while Heasu crossed his arms and looked at her with disappointment.

"Well you see, the Gods were always capable of handling your father.." Heasa confessed to me, and I couldn't believe what I was hearing. My entire jaw dropped. "But since the gods like me, I made a deal with them that if you can fix it, you can be reunited with your family. It's why when everything was going bad, Heasu suggested that I just let the gods step in and call off the deal..but as your guardian angel, I really wanted to give you one more chance." Heasa said to me, and I looked at her more serious. Especially when she looked at me with a proud smile. "I've been watching you your whole life, and I believed that you deserved this." Heasa said to me with a very genuine, and happy smile. Her face seemed to be glowing.

"Wow, I didn't know.." I respond while rubbing the back of my head in disbelief. "But what about the other souls that were at risk from me taking so much time to fix it. The souls that were lost because I took long.." I question Heasa, and she giggles.

"Welllll I kind of lied.." Heasa giggles like she's just been caught, while Suruyu and I look at her with confusion. "Lied?? Lied about what?" Suruyu asks.

Heasa has a hard time getting it out, causing Heasu to sigh. "You know how you became a lost soul right? Well that's happened to others, but you're not entirely stuck there for eternity. If you become one, you can still come to terms with your life. The god of souls doesn't just leave you there forever. He checks up on you, to see if you've come to terms with your life. Then he'd bring you back to the memory world, to give it another go...though it would take a lot longer, and we didn't have that time. So yeah you took a lot longer than the gods would've, but no souls will be permanently damaged because of it. The only reason the god of souls exists, is because some people liked to just chill in the memory world, and that was bad. Plus, becoming a lost soul usually pushes people to come to terms with their life, just like you did." Heasu explained to me with annoyance by Heasa. Suruyu and I was in disbelief about the whole explanation, though I guess it made sense.

"I had to lie! I had to tell you you'd be stuck there for eternity to push you to save the afterlife. Plus, I didn't want to risk Suruyu here, can you forgive me??" Heasa questions, as she approaches me with puppy dog eyes. I laugh at this, before embracing her with a warm hug, in which causes her eyes to widen some.

"Thanks..for everything Heasa.." I thank her with a smile, and my words made her smile as well. "It's what guardian angels do.." She responds softly, before I pull off.

"So when do I go back?" I question Heasa, and she looks at me with a guilty expression. I immediately look at both Heasu and Heasa, who both looked a bit guilty, and I was curious.

"What's the issue?" Suruyu asked, with a slight frown.

"I tried to tell you multiple times Tsuki..but you can't go back forever..You can only temporarily reunite with them, but only as a spirit. Unfortunately, both of your lives are indeed lost." Heasa confesses, and I immediately felt this wave of sadness hit me. Suruyu looked over at me in a worried way as well, while I looked down at the ground.

"I.." I try to get out words, though nothing comes out. This means that I would never be able to be with my family again. I would never be able to play games with my family, or have fun conversations with my mom. All of that is gone. "Tsuki..are you okay?" Suruyu and Heasa questions me, while I stay in my thoughts.

But..what was the point in coming to terms with my life, if I could just go back..in the end, that was the life I lived, regardless if I could go back or not..I guess the point was that it showed me how much of a jerk I was at times. It showed me something about myself, that I've been trying to push away. And now, I'm dead. I'm dead for good. "That's okay..all I need is one moment with them. One moment." I say, as I look up at Heasa with a smile. Heasa and the rest of them look a bit surprised.

"Are you sure?" Suruyu asks with a hand on my shoulder.

"Yeah..I lived my life..and although I can't get it back, I think my soul has learned something very valuable through all this. Cherish the good moments in life, and don't take anything for granted." I say, as I turn mu entire body to face Suruyu. "But because I don't think I lived a meaningful life, I assume I'll be reincarnated. Right Heasa?"

"Well..I do plan on talking to the gods about putting souls to rest if they want..and unless you want to wait for that, then yeah..whether you thought it was meaningful didn't matter before, because I was going to bring you to the afterworld..but now it does.." Heasa says to me.

"For the both of you.." Heasu adds, while looking at Suruyu with a smile.

I sigh for a second, before looking back at Suruyu. I could see that her eyes were watery, and she looked like she was holding some emotions in. "This isn't goodbye forever. We're soul mates, I think we'll meet again, whether it's in the next life, or the afterworld." I assure Suruyu, before placing a gentle hand on her cheek

Suruyu proceeds to smile a bit. "Promise me that you'll live the most meaningful life this time..okay?" Suruyu responds to me in a slight shaky tone.

I proceed to nod. "You do the same." I respond to her.

"I promise." We both promise in sync.

"We'll meet again Tsuki." Heasa says to me, with watery eyes, as she starts to wave goodbye.

I immediately turn to face her, before facing everyone else. "All of you, call me Taiyo." I respond to them.

"Until we meet again, Taiyo." Suruyu suddenly blurts out, before leaning into me, and kissing me on the lips with a bright red face.

Heasa and Heasu smiled, then started to do motions with their arms once more, as the two of us kissed.

It was a very magical moment. It felt like we would stay here forever, though I knew that wasn't the reality. That's why I cherished it, for as long as we had left. And before we knew it, we vanished.

Moments later, Suruyu was standing inside of a restaurant. She looked around in confusion, before noticing her friends that were sitting at a table. They looked much older, about 6 years older. They were full adults now. A smile grew over Suruyus face, so she ran over to the table with a hand out that was about to touch them. "Heyyy give me my fry back!" One of her friends demanded the other with a giggle.

"Why? It's so good!" The other responded. As Suruyu watched, she noticed that all of them were happy. They were smiling, and talking about anything that was on their minds. The more she watched, she realized that they were doing good. "Good..they moved on.." Suruyu said happily, before slowly moving her hand away from them.

Suruyu continued to watch them have fun, before she pulled up A chair, and sat down next to them. She proceeded to listen to their conversation with a smile.  She listened like she was apart of the conversation. "This may be the last time I hear your voices, or talk to you..so before I go, I just want to say that I love you all..I'm sorry if I wasn't able to help you much before, I was just scared. Though I know now that I was underestimating your love for me. Eventually I'm going to be reincarnated, and we may never meet again. If we do, we probably won't even know it. So lastly, I want to say, thank you for all the memories. It was amazing knowing you all." Suruyu said to her friends with a bright smile, and tears in her eyes, that she rubbed away.

While that took place, my eyes were still closed, and lips still puckered out like I was kissing Suruyu. "Go to school Sora. Don't skip anymore okay?" I heard a ver familiar voice, so I opened my eyes, and saw who it was. The sky was a bright orange color, and it looked very peaceful.

My mom ordered my brother to go to school and not skip. As I watched him get dropped off from her car, I noticed he looked even older now. Only a couple years younger than I was when I died. "Sora..mom.." I say calmly, as I watch Sora walk off with a very irritated expression on his face. My mom then drove off while watching Sora worriedly.

Sora made sure that our mom was gone, before he started to sneak around the city. I proceeded to follow him, so that I knew where he was going. Eventually, he ran over to a playground, where other boys were smoking cigarettes at. I watched my brother approach them with a worried face. "Ahhh here goes Sora. Are you done being a pussy, or are you gonna smoke this time?" One of the boys questioned, while the others started to laugh.

I slowly walked up to my brother, and watched to see what he was going to do. It seemed like he was going down a similar path that I did. "I said I was, give it to me already!" Sora demanded, before snatching the cigarette from one of the boys, causing them to laugh even more.

Sora was about to put the cigarette up to his mouth, but before he could, I moved my hand up to his shoulders and held it. Sora stopped what he was doing, and immediately turned around to see me looking down at him.

When he looked at me, he stared as if he saw a ghost, though I couldn't help but smile at the sight of him. Seeing him alive, despite this decision. As Sora looked at me, the other boys tried catching his attention, but they couldn't. They eventually took the cigarette from him, and walked off.

"T-Tsuki.." Sora says, as he looks at my entire body with disbelief. He occasionally shook his head, as he obviously couldn't believe it. I even saw his lips start to quiver a bit, and his eyes grow watery.

"It's Taiyo..and you know how much shit I went through to get here?" I respond to Sora with a smile, as I move my hand down from his shoulder.

Sora shook his head again. "But you died.." He said, as he started to cry and look around me in denial.

"You're right..I died..I'm just a ghost right now. It's a long story, but I wanted to tell you something, before I drift off forever. You'll never see me again, or atleast you won't as your big brother." I respond back to him, and he finally looks at me like he can believe his eyes. Though that didn't stop the tears from coming. "I wanted to apologize for how I treated you. I treated you like shit, all because you weren't the child of my dad. I was going through a lot at that time, and I took it out on you and mom. I'm sure you know how I died, and I don't want you thinking it's your fault. My entire life,

I didn't do much. But I have a chance to do something right now. That group of people that you're with. Dump them. They're not good for you. Don't follow down the same destructive path that I did, because it won't lead you anywhere but a casket." I spoke to Sora in a very passionate way. At this point in time, I knew my life was over. And although I wasn't able to do much with it, I knew that I could do something now, before it's too late.

Sora looked at me with wide eyes, while I just looked at him with a smile. "Listen to your mom. Listen to your dad. Don't be afraid to open up, and share your feeling with people that you care about. That was my mistake. Don't let it be yours. Learn from my mistakes." I urge my brother, and he slowly looks away from me.

"Dad got into a car accident and passed nine months ago...right after getting mom pregnant." Sora confessed to me, before looking up at me once more. The news made me feel even worse for him, considering they've already been through enough.

"So mom needs you..Y'all need eachother don't you? Gotta be strong for the baby that's gonna be coming soon right?" I question, as I put my hand on his shoulder once again. Once I did, I could hear and see him start to weep from under his teeth.

Sora then rushed into me, and gave me a hug as he sobbed into my chest. "I-I missed you! I wish we could've played more games, and hung out with eachother more. I wish we could've watched movies, and went to the beach more."

As Sora rambled on, I hugged him back with a smile on my face.

"I love you Sora. Don't forget that. I feel like it's my time to go soon. Unfortunately I couldn't talk to mom. Make sure that she knows that I love her, and that it isn't her fault. Also promise me you won't make the same mistakes that I did, and you'll always do your best."  As soon as those words left my mouth, our mothers car pulled up. We both turned to look at her, and when she stepped out the car, her eyes widened.

Sora looked guilty, while I looked at her with a slight smile. "M-" I was about to say before she rushed over to me while crying and sobbing out of her mind. "Taiyo!" She screamed with teary eyes, as she ran up and hugged me.

"Be careful with that baby." I suggest with a smile, as I hug my mom back. I then pulled Sora into the hug, where we all

Hugged eachother lovingly. While we did, the bright sun shined directly over us.

"I think my time is up..Mom, I love you. Understand that none of this is your fault okay? And just so you know, I'm okay now." I admit to my mom, as my body starts to glow a bit, and it starts to levitate. "I love you both. Thanks for always caring. Also mom," I say, causing my mom to look at me worriedly. "My dad said that he was sorry for everything." I admit to her as I ascend higher.

My mom and Sora both looked up, as my body started to ascend higher and higher. "Taiyo!" They both screamed in sync, while watching me with teary eyes.

I looked down at them, wondering what they were gonna say. "We love you too!" They yelled out to me, with smiles on their faces. They then held onto eachother, before waving at me. "And I promise!" Sora yells out.

I smiled and nodded, before looking up, and staring at the door that was above. I never felt so much peace in my life before. I knew that once I got through that door, this life is over with. Me, in this body. I may not remember who these people are, and I may not see them again for years. But life goes on. Do I wish I could've stayed longer? Yes. I wish I could've made more memories with them. Memories that would last for eternity. But I have another chance. A chance to live the life that I deem as meaningful. I made that promise, so that's what I'm gonna do now.

I close my eyes peacefully with a smile, as I fly straight into the door.

In the middle of a street, a car pulled up to the sidewalk, where a big school was. "Are you ready?" My brother asks me from the drivers seat, while I look out the window at the school. In the reflection, I see my long black hair with brown tips at the end.

"Ugh, I hate school..can we atleast play some games when I get off?" I ask my brother, as I get off of the window, and look over at him with devastation in my eyes. The look in my face causes him to burst out into laughter.

"Ofcourse. Have a good day. If you don't, mom will make me come up here, so yeah."

My brother said with a laugh, as he held his fist out to me. I chuckled before doing a fist bump with him.

I then stepped out of the car, with my bag and everything. I saw all the students were walking around with their friends, and making their way into the school. "Okay..first day of highschool. No biggie. It's technically like Junior high, just bigger." I say as I slowly start to walk up to the school, while paying attention to my surroundings.

"Yo Kitsuko!" I heard my friends call out to me from behind me, before running up to me and smiling. "You ready for your first day of highschool? I know I am." My friend said to me with a smile. He sounded pretty cocky though.

"Duh. We're gonna have the best year." I said, before I walked into the school. I proceeded to walk up to all of the lockers, where I would change my shoes.

As I changed my shoes, I got a glimpse of the persons bag next to me. It was a bag that had a bunch of cat stickers on it. I decided not to pay too much attention, I just looked into my locker. "I like the lion stickers on your bag. They're pretty cool." The girl with the cat stickers said to me. I immediately moved my head out of my locker, and looked at her.

She looked beautiful in my eyes, with black hair, and black eyes. "Thanks..I noticed your cat stickers. Is that your favorite animal?" I question while looking at her with a smile, though I couldn't help but blush a bit.

"Yeah it is. They're just so cute. Though I do like the viscousness  of the lions too." The girl says to me with a giggle. I smile a bit and nod.

"My brother sometimes teases me about it, but it's okay." I respond with a laugh, before facing her completely. "Really? What's your brothers name?" She asks me.

"His name is Sora. He's 30 and he's this game designer, so he's pretty cool and all that. Or whatever." I responded to her, while rolling my eyes in a joking way. It made her smile so that was cool. "Plus you kinda just gotta live life to the fullest. It's a bit dramatic but I try to always be myself and do things that make me happy. I-if you get what I mean." I add, before realizing I was getting extremely deep.

She looked at me with a surprised face, though for some reason, it seemed like she understood. "I understand. I feel the same way.." She snaps herself out of that surprise, and it even made me a bit surprised. "Well for the record, I think the stickers are cool. By the way, what class do you have next? If you don't mind me asking Ofcourse." She asks me. I immediately grab my bag and pull out some notes, before scanning over them.

"Ms Chuki in class 1-C" I respond to her, before looking back up at her. She immediately smiles after my response. "Really? Me too. That's kind of cool." She says.

"Wow..I guess I'll see you there then." I say, and she continuously nods, and starts to back away from me in what seemed to be a shy way. I did the same though.

"Ofcourse. Oh also my name is Suki." She said to me with an awkward laugh. "Oh yeah,

I'm Kitsuko." I respond to her, before her girl friends run up to her and pull her away.

She starts talking and walking with her friends while I watch her with a red face.

She then turns her head to face me while she continued walking. She waved at me with a cute smile. "Hey Kitsuko, come on!" My friends urged from behind me, while I continue watching that girl for a second. At this point, she had already turned back around. I was just caught in a temporary trance.

I then stop, and turn to follow my friends. "Yeah yeah, I'm coming. Be patient." Me and my friends start to walk, while Suki and I begin to smile to ourselves.

The End
