Frederick was within earshot, only a few metres away from the bright white light of the staff communal area. Their little exchanges made his entire body planted behind the shadow like a lurking monster waiting for his prey in the dark.

"It's just eerily similar." A high-pitched voice shared her unwanted thoughts, pushing the topic when the rest ignored her.

"Watch what you are saying, Judy! If you want to get into trouble with that statement alone, do it! But don't you drag one of us with you." A harsh growl pierced through the awkward silence, subtly warning anyone to fall victim to more unwarranted gossiping.

"I'm not saying it's his. What if it's someone related to him?" The woman instantly softened as she defended herself. Perhaps excited that her desired topic gets mentioned at all.

However, there was a unison sigh of defeat followed by the scraping of chairs against the tiled floor, indicating some of them were leaving the dining area.
