Chereads / Falling for his Prisoner / Chapter 21 - Shocking Revelation

Chapter 21 - Shocking Revelation

"There's no use in catching me, you murderer!" The green-eyed man spat right on Frederick Mortcombe's face. His hand was tied to the back of the chair with a makeshift barbed wire and his feet were strapped to each of the chair's wooden legs with what-have-you.

Frederick wiped the spit off his face with disgust and gingerly slapped the Bloodsworth's cheek, clearly simmering with rage. It took all of his self-control to stop himself from beating the man to a pulp.

"Funny you should say that, Mister. Because from where I'm standing, YOU'RE clearly on the disadvantage position here."

"You will get nothing out of me! NOTHING!! Might as well kill me and get that gratification you so much lust, you freak!"

However, such a petty insult did not hurt the villain. Instead, it lit up a fire within him to strike his enemy with fear.

"Oh, ho ho... You poor soul. Don't think I don't know what you're doing. No, siree. You may live longer than I do but trust me, I can see through your game plan," he taunted the man with a whisper.

He pulled out a polished graphite-coloured spiked knuckle brass ring from his pocket and wore it with an intimidating smirk on his face as his eyes gleamed with sheer delight.

"See... This little trinket of mine is very. very. VERY hungry and I'm pretty certain it could smell your sweet delicious blood, waiting for it to ooze out of its containment."

Frederick playfully traced the spiked ends against the mid-thirties throat. It was sharp enough to leave a trace of pulsating trail without spilling a single drop of blood causing the bald man's nostril to flare up.

His breathing became ragged as he choked up, "That's illegal here!"

Those words only stimulated a creepy growl from the villain's throat that slowly turned into a nasty cackle that rang through the quiet night in the middle of the dark ocean.

"Illegal?? Hah! You're one funny man. I give you that. But you know, this tiny thing doesn't have to make an appearance if you would just —

"Never! I will not stoop down to your level —"

One loud smack reverberated beneath the starlight skies, leaving a ripple of pain on the man's face as a ringing sound played in the man's ears.

"Stop thinking like you're some saint when you and your families are a bunch of wolves in sheep's clothing!"

To the pleasure of the young lad, the shaved man gulped his saliva as his eyes still lingered on the brass knuckles. He whipped out his phone and took out a video he had done on the mad doctor a few weeks earlier on.

The video's maddening scream played at its maximum volume as the bright light illuminated the sinister face of the holder on the small fishing boat.

"Look here. This. Is a video of your trusted doctor. See what's going on here? He's got his limb chopped off for being clueless. Digits of his fingers gone for reasons I don't remember. Your choice, you either be like him or you spiii...ill it out, what do you say?"

Frederick belatedly changed his words from spit to spill, in case he would end up with another foul bodily fluid that is not crimson. Fortunately, too, his tactics worked as Audrey's cousin chose to speak.

"The elderlies do not like her."

The villain, out of patience being toyed with the answers, slapped the back of the man's head, leaving a red hand print imprinted. "Obviously any Tom, Dick or Harry could tell that, you ignorant fool!"

"I vaguely remember they say something about her that shared the same traits as our ancestors."

If it was a normal victim of his, he did not like how flowing the conversation was. In a typical situation, he would rather have an answer and be done with it. However, the man in front of him was the only one who possessed bits of information about his prisoner and he would rather have proper communication on the matter.

Even so, the villain was having a hard time relating the two. "And that is relevant because...?"

"Because the person is meant to lead the Bloodsworth."

"Who? Audrey??" Frederick had his eyebrows furrowed quite deep as he tried to understand the nonsensical reasonings. He could not grasp the situation where they simply assume Audrey would lead the Bloodsworth. If not, it was their own action that led to their demise.

"Hypothetically, yes."

"But aren't the elderlies already leading it?"

"Yes. Only because Audrey's being—"

"All I'm hearing is that all of you feared a twenty-something female who may or may not be interested in this. And to impregnate her, what's the relevance behind this?"

"Who is pregnant?"

The young lad took a step backwards trying to study the man's behaviour. He looked genuinely taken aback by the news when he questioned their ridiculous elaborate schemes. Even so, Frederick wanted to reconfirm what he saw earlier on and said one word, "Audrey."

"She is pregnant??? By who??"

The runaway Bloodsworth's green eyes popped out as his body leaned forward, reeling in with the piece of information he had received.

"Don't... everyone knows...?"

Frederick Mortcombe realised one thing. While they all may not know why they torture his poor prisoner, he noticed to torture her, they needed a rank and this fellow was indeed the bottom of them all.

However, he never gets to hear the man's answer as a loud thunderous bang erupted in the silent night and the man's shocked face stared straight into the villain's eyes as he worded out, "They're here."

The young lad searched the darkness but to no avail. The sources of the gunshot were hard to determine with its sound echoing from every angle. Whoever it was, had a pretty good aim with him standing nearby obstructing views.

Then came another deafening boom, followed by a gurgling sound from the man tied to the chair. Thick, sticky liquid escaped his lips as his green eyes were filled with fear. Without warning, a rope from the ocean emerged as it lassoed the victim and tugged him down below.
