Chapter 1 - Attack!

"No... stop."

Ainsley groaned, feeling a weird sensation running through his body. However, he didn't open his eyes because he needed to sleep as much as he could and would wake up early.

However, the weird sensation didn't stop. The feeling as if someone was climbing him with many legs, Ainsley suddenly realized something strange. He immediately opened his eyes.

A terrifying six eyes greeted him; It was so close that it almost touched his head.

"Ahhh!" Ainsley screamed, and on instinct, he slapped the bizarre creature.

Thud!

"W-What in heaven is that?!" Ainsley exclaimed.

Just as he was about to stand up, he glimpsed his hand.

"B-b-bone! Don't tell me…" Ainsley's heart palpitated fast as he raised both hands. saw that almost shocked him to death. "I am a skeleton!"

Shriek!

The spider, who was thrown to the side, let out a sharp cry as it rushed to Ainsley, who was still shocked.

"Fuck!" Ainsley, seeing this, began running. He, who was unexpectedly thrown into this dangerous and strange situation, couldn't think of anything else besides running.

'What the heck is happening?'

While running, he could now see the place he was currently in. It was a long corridor. The wall was made of brown stone, with a torch connected to the wall, bringing light into this dark corridor with darkness to the end. Besides this, there are also many skeletons with different shapes, some bigger than an adult, and many weird skeleton shapes scattered around.

However, Ainsley had no time to inspect this, as he was busy escaping for his life.

'Is this a TV show? Prank? Then if it's true, I'm going to kill all of them when I get out of this!' He could only comfort himself with this thought, but inside he believed this was real. Why? Because he was a skeleton!

At that moment, Ainsley was suddenly thrown to the ground, making a crick sound as he rolled to the ground a few times.

"Ah."

The spider rushed again.

With no choice and without hesitation, Ainsley picked the nearest skeletal arm and then swung it toward the spider swiftly.

The spider threw itself to the ground, causing the bones to scatter.

Seconds passed, and Ainsley noticed the spider was not moving, thinking that it might be trapped waiting to sneak attack him. He threw the skeletal hand at the spider with force.

Bam!

The spider was still motionless.

Ainsley walked carefully and poked the spider. "Why is it so weak? Or is it just I'm strong?"

The spider was the size of an adult human head with six eyes. Its whole appearance looked like a Black Widow spider that could give anyone a fright, even adults.

Even though Ainsley was almost shocked to death, Ainsley, in his previous life, was afraid of insects, especially cockroaches, that could be found everywhere.

Since he was a child, Ainsley developed symptoms known as insect phobia because when he was a child, a cockroach crawled into his ears, not once but three times, causing him to develop insect phobia.

He would always freeze up just seeing an insect.

However, in this situation, Ainsley didn't freeze or anything else. He could feel some force calming inside him. He didn't have time to ponder this when a blue screen with words appeared before him.

[The dead have been waiting for you.]

[Do you want to summon your first servant?]

"Summoned?" Ainsley was surprised as he looked at the corpse of the spider. He could almost see an imaginary small spider waving at him.

"Yes." Ainsley accepted without a second thought. He could almost guess what was happening, in every isekai, there was always a cheat. It was too clichéd now that this cliche was happening in real life.

After speaking, a creature gradually climbs up from the corpse of the spider.

It was a skeletal spider.

[Level 1 Skeletal Spider—Unit 1]

Ainsley looked at the spider with amazement; the skeletal spider was walking toward him with its six feet. He found it cute instead of frightening.

"What's happening to me?" He mumbles to himself. As the minutes ticked away, he became aware of a change within himself. It was unnoticeable, if not for his fear of insects. It would be a long time before he would know it.

"It's perhaps something to do with my physical body because I am a skeleton now. My fear is slowly disappearing." Ainsley put his hand on his chin to ponder any possibility. He knows skeletons do not have a sense of fear, even in death. They were led by their instincts.

"Don't tell me I have become like that, too." Ainsley shuddered. He could not imagine just walking around and starting to kill everyone he saw. "... scary."

"I still have time to solve this, but first I need to figure out an escape from this place."

Ainsley picked the bone hand scattered around for a weapon; he walked, followed by the tiny skeletal spider behind.

"Right, since you are my first servant, I will naturally name you and hope that you will stay loyal to me forever," Ainsley said as he smiled.

The spider waves its hands, agreeing with him.

"How about Peter?"

Crick.

"Parker?"

Crick, crick!

"I can't really think of anything. How about crawly?"

"Alright then, Crawly."

Crick, crick.

Crawly let out a sound of dissatisfaction.

However, Ainsley ignored Crawly as he continued to walk.

At the end of the day, Ainsley finally accepted him being a skeleton because he couldn't do anything about it after all.

Furthermore, being a skeleton was not bad at all. Even though he couldn't taste the pleasure of food, the pleasure of..., or anything else, at least he would never get tired and didn't need to sleep.

Ainsley kept walking down this long corridor. "How long have I been walking here? It seems like there's no end."

The atmosphere was cold; the torch flickered, giving an eerie feeling.

The only darkness he could see at the end. It was like an abyss.

No matter how he walked forward, the darkness didn't get closer, but farther and farther away.

"Show me status," Ainsley mumbled. The system gave him general information about it when he first summoned his first undead.

Life Force could also be used on Ainsley's undead to strengthen their attributes.

The status of Ainsley and the status of the unit showing all attributes differed completely from his. However, Ainsley didn't feel bad or anything because it was all the same.

The stronger his unit was, the stronger he was.

"That's why it's weak. It's just that I'm stronger."

With his combat score, he could kill many baby spiders. Of course, it is dependent on the number of them.

"But how do I get skills? Skill book? Or will I learn them on my own?" Ainsley pondered with a thoughtful face.

Ainsley didn't have time to think when he glimpsed a wooden door on the left side. Ainsley's eyes lit up as he hurried to the door.

The door was just a normal wooden door.

Ainsley opened it cautiously and went in.

The room was large and twenty people could walk freely without bumping into each other, with three pillar columns on each side supporting the room. However, the thing that piqued Ainsley's attention was the treasure chest at the end. Sitting on the treasure chest was a small, black hooded creature.

"You are finally here, intruder!"

The small, black-hooded creature jumped. As its feet were about to touch the ground, it suddenly disappeared in the form of black smoke.

It reappeared behind Ainsley.

disappeared.

appeared above the treasure chest.

It repeats this process until it finally stops.

"Who are you?" Ainsley asked cautiously, but inside he was suddenly alarmed. If this creature could do this, this means it could kill Ainsley at any time.

"I'm Shadow, the boss of this floor." The small creature said, "Only by killing me can you get to the second floor. Of course, that's if you could kill me. I'm Shadow. I'm everywhere- "

"Attack!" Ainsley didn't let it finish as he rushed with a bone hand, followed by Crawly.
