The next morning, I went to see Ryza to satisfy my curiosity. Sadly, disappointment was all I got.
"What? You want to use magic? Nope, impossible."
That was quick.
"Seriously now?"
"Yeah," she looked at the supercomputer display, but suddenly turned at me again. "Oh, and before you ask, the Vectors have tried many ways to make automatons capable of using magic, buuut they never succeed. It is basically caused by the nonexistence of mana circuit in their bodies."
"Mana circuit?"
"Yeah. Every living being has mana circuit in their bodies, flowing along with their blood. Automatons have something similar, though its functions are very different. They cannot use magic like mortals."
"I see. What a shame. Here I thought I can start blasting fire or something."
