"Miss, are you sure about handling your prized possession to Lykus?"
Agatha asked, seemingly conflicted with the decision of her Miss.
"What choice do I even have?"
She had no choice, to begin with.
And Agatha was well aware of this fact.
Both knew, how significant of an alliance, this was to them.
"But he sure has changed."
Alishia proclaimed.
"...Or maybe the rumours of him being trash were fake, to begin with."
It can only be one of these two.
Alishia who knew Lykus since birth, or should have known him, if only they had a little more interaction.
The only time they interacted was at the dinner table since it was a custom to eat with everybody which was widespread among nobles.
So, it can be said that even though Lykus is dubbed as her 3-months older brother, there was anything but the affection of a sibling.
So, all the knowledge, Alishia had of Lykus over the years was obtained through the sheer amount of rumours about him, of how he was a trash.
His table manner also played a noteworthy role in it, which basically strengthened the legitimacy of these said rumours.
"Whatever the case might be, he is surely not the one from the rumours. We can't make light of him."
This was something Alishia came to understand, after she had these sweet little exchange with her brother, both literally and metaphorically.
"Hehehehehe~"
However, different from Agatha's expectation, instead of being sad after losing such a valuable possession, Alishia was giggling like a crazed maniac, which seemed both, out of the situation and a bit out of character, different from her stoic usual self.
Agatha too was lost for words at the unexpected giggle.
Understanding the Intrigue in Agatha's eyes, Alishia started to unfold the mystery behind her unexpected laugh.
"I was laughing thinking about the face he would make, once he realised the truth behind [The Pendant Of Orlanski]."
"The Truth...?"
Agatha didn't understand what her Miss meant, saying such words.

'Can Only Be Used By A Descendant Of Orlanski'
A text which was highlighted in red.
...It was disheartening to see that text... or maybe it would have been.
If only...
"Hahahahahahahah~"
I wasn't aware of how to violate such measures!
I laughed wholeheartedly, this crazed laughter was from the bottom of my heart.
...I couldn't help it.
How could I, recognizing how miserable her attempt was?
A failed attempt to extort me!
'Was this the best she could do?'
...Really, the best she could think of?
It was a genuine question, but after a moment of contemplation, I came to realise, how stupid my thought process was.
Her strategy wasn't bad.
Not even in the slightest.
After all, It was the only option she had if she doesn't want to provide me with an Op item.
What she attempted to do, was a nasty scam.
How???
Let me explain with a bit of context.
Alishia, who is the daughter of Austin and Angela, the woman who is said to be her mother, was in actuality...
A descendant of Orlanski!
Resulting in her becoming one too.
That's how she was able to make use of the pendant.
"These damn fantasy authors sure are scum. Why do they need to make it so damn convenient?!"
Even though I wasn't being serious and said these words in mere bitterness, it was a fair point, nonetheless.
The setting was just way too convenient for Alishia.
First of all, she took part in the tournament held for the young warriors of the kingdom— The Arete Of Krazikta.
Then, without a significant loss, she won the tournament, winning herself— The Title Of Arete.
And If that was not enough, she even has to acquire a B-rank rare-grade artefact, which was one of the possessions of her great ancestor.
Which she can use to make herself strong.
And if you think it is the end, then you can't be any more wrong...
Did you see [The Law Of Amadon], a fabulous ability which helps the user to wield any weapon, an aspect of a warrior?
An ability which consumes 2 Magic and 1 Stamina every 3 seconds.
Something that was a given.
But just recalling Alishia's Status Window which showed an SS-rank in Magic and B-rank in Stamina, I can't help but sigh in frustration.
Even though I have reapted myself and might even sound like a broken record at this point, but seeing this injustice I can't help but clamour that...
Everything's Just Damn Too Convenient For Her.
Sensing the rage rising within me, I was sure that [Impetious] has started to act up, so I immediately started to take deep breath's in an attempt to calm the rage, welling up within me.
"Is this the difference between an ally and a villain?"
Once I calmed down, I uttered those words in self-contemplation, realising the disparity each character has.
"Well... Nothing, I can get brooding over this."
There was no use thinking over stuff I have no constraint off.
Now onto [The Pendant Of Orlanski], there was a text which was displayed in a box which appeared in green, making it the second most eye-catching thing after the red-coloured text.
[<—The Rule Of A Possessor —>]
It was basically a privilege passed onto the descendants, the new inheriter of this pendant, granting them an honour to make a rule, altering an aspect of the pendant, making it a rare-grade artefact.
This was of course granted to Alishia, providing her with the honour to make a rule, which she used to her advantage, making it an accessory which can only show its true valour when worn by one of the descendants.
Now the point is...
How much confidence does she even have in herself or in me to make such an audacious choice?!
Didn't she think of the possible development, her treachery would lead to?
...That I will back out from the alliance after her scam?
And if she was?
...Then what was the reason for such insurmountable confidence?
I knew it all too well.
I have answers to all the questions, ranging from What? Why? and How?
'It's all because of that damn contract!!!'
