Chapter 7 - 7 Adrian٫Why?

Adrian opened his eyes as the light was directly reflecting on his face after two days of intensive care and sound sleep in the school's medical center.

He shifted into a sitting position as the nurse soon arrived to serve him breakfast even though he was still experiencing some discomfort in his body.

Scott and his friends left after the last lesson to go see Adrian. When they arrived, they saw their friend watching a romantic comedy on television.

They all hurried up to him as soon as they saw this since they were glad to see their friend in such good health. Recounting the great celebration he had missed due to his victory, they added. Even though his friends were having a fantastic time without him, Adrian was in a bitter-sweet situation that he waved with a smile.

Adrian was pleased to hear that they had promised him a better celebration party once he was released from the hospital. Soon after, Scott asked, "Why brother, Why?" out of the blue.

"Let me air out a story to you guys".

Living in the underprivileged area of Brittania was difficult, if not downright miserable. It was sad that Adrian was a member of the latter. Adrian was expected to lack all magic because neither his mother nor father had any connection to any magical affirnity.

Both of Adrian's siblings, a sister and a brother, are younger than he is. There were some things Adrian was expected to perform because he was the older person and the firstborn. Adrian had adult-like thoughts at a very young age since he wanted to constantly be helpful.

Adrian had been accompanying his carpenter father to the woodland to get wood for the construction of some furniture. It took a while and was frightening to get from the town to the woodland since there were rumors that demons ate humans there.

Adrian admired his father's work and intended to carry on the family business because he did not believe in magic.

The young, underprivileged child from the slums wanted to go to school, but his parents couldn't afford it, so he went to work instead. With the aid of a wheelbarrow, he travels to the customer's location every morning to bring woods and some hand-made furniture.

With the aid of a fork that he was rolling in paper and packing in the box, Adrian assisted his mother by gathering flowers and discarding rubbish later in the day. He marked the box with a pencil the quantity of flowers he had packed before tying a rope around it and carrying it to the market to sell.

Adrian, who had little money for school and vowed to work even harder to fund his siblings' education, dedicated himself to his mother's and father's jobs. The slum youngster would occasionally accompany other kids to school while pulling the window screen to listen to the lesson while standing on the window side or in front of the classroom entrance.

Adrian was standing in front of the classroom praying to GOD to have mercy on him in-order to study when a watchman came and threw him out of the building, telling him, "You can't enter into school without admission." The watchman continued, "The school principal can look through the window."

Adrian left the embarrassing circumstance he was in and went to his father's workshop. "Adrian, what happened?" his father questioned as soon as he noticed how lifeless he was looking.

Adrian's father comforted him after hearing what had happened and acknowledging the sacrifice his son had made for his brothers. Adrian then proceeded to sell flowers as normal in front of a sizable business called as, after which he began grouping the flowers.

The child was astonished when a stranger approached him to buy flowers. Because of the bracelet, gold ring, watch, and shoes he was wearing, the man appeared to be extremely wealthy.

Adrian wondered why the man had come to his flower shop, but the man had told him that he wanted to offer him a rose bouquet that also included some other flowers.

I understand why you are staring at me with horror on your face, the man remarked abruptly to the boy. Then Adrian asked, "Why sir?"

I've been keeping an eye on you for a long time since you just appear so unique, even with the way you interact with customers and use English language, the man said.

The man said, "In other stalls, it won't be clean, the flowers won't be placed properly, and their stalls will be filled with cockroaches and mosquitoes." Then the man questioned Adrian about why he wasn't attending school, and Adrian

He offered to assist Adrian and told him to visit his office the next day by 2 PM out of sympathy for Adrian's predicament.

Then Adrian returned home and told his parents about the encounter and how anxious he was to meet the wealthy man the following day. Adrian got up early the following morning to make deliveries as soon as possible.

Adrian was returning home with his wheelbarrow after making all of his deliveries when he noticed a child getting beaten up in a corner. Adrian really wanted to ignore that situation, but his conscience prevented him from doing so.

He moved closer to the action and cried, "Please, leave him alone!"

The three lads who had battered the kid suddenly turned into men as he moved nearer to them.

It's possible that Adrian didn't see them clearly before he spoke because they were bending when he first noticed them.

Adrian was granted a second chance to live as the three lads enquired about his worries. Adrian still had the option to depart at that time, but his good nature held back.

"This is your last warning, guys, let him be," Adrian said at them. The three boys exchanged glances and giggled as soon as they heard this.

Before they knew it, they were on their knees begging Adrian to have compassion on them.

Adrian arrived in time for the interview with that representative from the large corporation. The man introduced himself as Mr. Michael and asked Adrian if he wanted to do something in exchange for letting Adrain go to school.

Adrian happily accepted without giving it a second thought as he was jumping for delight. The man informed Adrian that he would submit the scholarship application on his behalf to Forcados High School, but asked that Adrian reassure him that he would succeed.

Adrian's expression darkened as he realized he was without any books for his studies. When Mr. Michael added, "Is it books, don't worry about that," it seemed as though he was reading Adrian's thoughts. Adrian was content and promised Mr. Michael that nobody would prevent him from making him proud in that school.

Adrian remarked, "And there you have it, the rest is history."

Scott broke the silence by saying, "You still haven't answered my question man,"

Not today, man, not today, Adrian chuckled.
