My hand patted the other side of the bed , only to find it empty. When did he leave? I groaned, shoving the covers in my face when sunlight striked me in the eye.
After washing up, I knocked on Hunter's door. How was he able to get up so early after all the chaos yesterday?
"Hey, V." Ash greeted, rubbing dirt from his eye.
"How are you feeling?" His face was bruised all over and he looked pretty banged up.
"I am alright, yesterday was.." He paused, searching for the right word,".. quite an adventure."
"Yeah, you don't look good." I scrutinized his injuries.
He rolled his eyes at me, but a small smile played on his lips, "Just what I needed, thanks Violet." Opening the door for me, he walked back in, falling backwards on the bed.
"Yeah, hey, so where's Hunter?" I sat beside him, toying with my fingers. It wasn't like him to leave like that, especially after the conversation we had.
