"I'm sure you didn't call me to have a drink with me." I raised a brow, taking a swig from my beer.
"I'm here to discuss about Hunter."
Just the one person I don't want to talk about. Of course.
"What about it?"
"I think the engagement is taking way-"
"It's not happening." I cut him off before he could dive further into his messed up fantasy.
Slamming his hands on the table, he stood up immediately, drawing attention towards us, "What are you saying?" He yelled at me, causing few murmurs to pass around as a few pair of eyes stared at us. He sat back and leaned in, "Do you have any idea what you're saying right now?" There was a cold look in his eyes, quite similar to the one Hunter had yesterday when he looked at me.
I gave him a blank look before getting up, "I think I'm done here."
"Sit back down!" He didn't look up from the empty spot in front of him.
I sighed, "I don't-"
"Hunter's had a hard life." He spoke into the space, his voice soft for the first time.
