Chapter 5 - CHAPTER 4

ARCHER'S POV

I sat on the bleachers in the basketball court crying my eyes out. This was the greatest humiliation of all. On the first day of resumption for that matter. She didn't even know my name. Was that how degraded I was in this school? I wiped my face walking up to a tap nearby to wash my face. I made a promise to myself this term. I promised not to let them get to me. Not this time. Fuck them all!! They are not to decide my destiny. In the nearest future I'll show them all.

I was so damn angry I could break a log of wood. I needed to go home fast before someone wounds up getting injured. Not like I could injure anybody anyway. I walked up to my class just as the bell went for the closure of the day. I hurried to my class and found them all packing. Most of the guys were gathered around my table obviously talking to Hazel. I walked to my seat ignoring them and began packing my books quickly. They turned to me.

"Hey Archie, I think we should switch seats. What do you think? Hazel here doesn't seem to accept your presence around her." One of them named Declan said to me and Hazel kicked his leg trying to stop him from talking. That move surprised me though but I didn't care. I picked my backpack heading for the door completely ignoring them.

I got to the door but Declan held my bag and swung me around stopping me. "I'm talking to you punk. You don't walk out on me like that."

" Leave me the fuck alone!!!!!!!!!" I shouted into his face and he stepped back surprised. The entire class turned to me shocked.

"Is that Archer?" I heard someone say.

I ignored it all and walked out of the class not stopping for once till I got out of the school gate. I rested my back on the wall taking a deep breath before turning towards home. I heard someone calling me from behind. I stopped recognizing the voice.

Ruby walked up to me. "What wrong Arch? Were you leaving without me?" She said and I sighed.

" I'm sorry Ruby. I ..... Nevermind. Let's get going." I felt guilty. I allowed my anger to cloud my thoughts I totally forgot her.

"Arch. Is something wrong?" She asked looking at me concerned. I shook my head.

"I'm fine. Just stressed. Needed to get something done immediately at home." She looked at me for sometime and then sighed.

"Well. I wanted to inform you I'm staying back for extra chemistry lessons today but it seems you are not in the right state of mind so I'll go with you." She said.

" Hey. Come on. Am good. Go on ahead. I'll see you tomorrow."

She looked up at me. " You sure?" I nodded.

She looked at me apparently not satisfied and shrugged. "If you say so. Gotta run." She said and gave me a slight kiss on the cheek before walking off. I watched her as she walked away. She waved at me without looking back and I smiled. I wished every girl could be like her.
