Mika who hadn't been able to do anything to avoid being sucked into this dimension, thought that at least he had the answer to his question and he finally had access to it.
He found himself directly in a large space, in fact the space was so large that he could not see the end of it, there was a huge lake that had to be the size of at least 4 or 5 soccer fields and otherwise the ground was flat covered with a thin layer of weeds.
The walls that he could see were covered with crystals and the ceiling looked like a cloudless blue sky except that there was no sun.
And finally there was a young man who looked to be in his early twenties and who looked at him curiously but without apparent hostility.
He had long black hair with flaming red highlights, bewitching black eyes with long eyelashes and he had caramel skin color like the one tanned by the sun.
They were both about the same height and his body although muscular was more athletic than bodybuilder, Mika's heart was suddenly racing, this guy was the most beautiful individual he had ever met.
The young man then approached him, he had a very seductive smirk on his face and he stopped only a few inches away from him, his heart started to race again when he heard for the very first time his deep and magnetic voice, "Hi! My name is Alanis."
Mika finally calmed his restless heart and immediately thought back to the central system's message, about the fact that the dimensions could be inhabited by very powerful creatures.
And not wanting to risk losing his life he answered Alanis honestly, still not feeling any hostility from him, "My name is Mikail, but just call me Mika, I'm a new Guardian and this is the first dimension I've seen."
Alanis smiled at him and he said, "The Guardians I have known were all powerful warriors or mages."
Satisfied that Mika had chosen to be a Guardian he said to him, "I am a Phoenix and I come from the world of Nihava, I need your help to... whatever my purpose is, is none of your business, is it?"
Mika nodded, he had promised himself not to play the hero anymore and so the less he would know, the less he would be tempted to break that promise, he then asked him, "If I can help you I will... Not for free of course, what exactly do you need?"
Alanis who didn't feel like wasting any more time on civility told him right away what he needed, "My mystical core has been damaged and I need some magic pills to restore it, the first is a magic pill called Enhanced Core, the second is called Spiritual Attraction and the third and last is called Blessing of Light, so will you help me?"
Mika, who had no idea what a mystical core was, nor what a phoenix was for that matter, because Alanis really didn't look like the legendary creatures that could rise from the ashes described in his home world, and even though he wanted to ask him lot of questions because curiosity was once again killing him, he chose to put that aside for the moment and he focused on what Alanis had asked him earlier.
He had a very good memory and he immediately asked the central system about those magic pills, and it told him to go directly to the Guardians' market as it was where he could find them.
He followed the system's advice while telling Alanis to wait a bit and when he entered the name of the magic pills he wanted to buy, he frowned not knowing what to do.
[Enhanced Core, level 6 magic pill, in order to buy this magic pill you need a level 2 Guardian license and reach level 6.
Spiritual Attraction, level 10 magic pill, in order to buy this magic pill you need a level 3 Guardian license and reach level 10.
Blessing of Light, level 12 magic pill, to buy this magic pill you need a level 4 Guardian license and reach level 12]
What the fuck, thought Mika, Alanis wasn't kidding, to need these magic pills it probably meant that he was already as powerful as a level 12 Guardian, or even more powerful, so he had to be very careful because this beautiful apollo could decide to kill him at any time if he wasn't satisfied with the answers he would give him.
And after some thought he decided that if Alanis was willing to be patient enough to wait for him to reach the level 12 of the Guardians then it was worth to make a deal with him.
Not only had he already chosen to become one himself anyway, but Alanis would certainly help him progress through the levels faster, not to mention that if they actually have a deal together, he would be under his protection, or so he hoped so.
After weighing the pros and cons, he finally explained the problem to Alanis, "I've made some inquiries and in order to buy the magic pills you need, I need to buy more Guardians licenses and level up.
I'm willing to help you but it won't happen in 1 day, I'll need time to fulfill the requirements to level up, as for my remuneration, you'll help me financially when I'll need it until I reach the level 12, only then will I be able to buy you the magic pill of Blessing of Light."
Alanis laughed in spite of himself and he then said to him, "Mika, you told me you were a new Guardian didn't you?"
Mika nodded, no matter what Alanis thought of him, this new challenge was very exciting for him, he just hoped that he would give him a chance to prove that he was worthy of his trust.
Alanis could see the determination in his eyes and he felt the flame of passion burning inside him, he wanted to be convinced so he said to him, "It's a long and extremely difficult road to becoming a level 12 Guardian, not even 1% of the Guardians make it and you want me to believe that you will?
Even with my help I'm not sure you can do it and I don't want to waste my precious time if you decide to give up along the way."
