"Loud and clear," Naomi's voice rang clearly through the earpiece I was provided with. Oddly enough, I had envisioned some other type of fancy tech, but what they wired me up with is the same shit they've been putting on people in the movies since ninety-five. You would think with how small everything is nowadays, they might have something better available, but that's not the case.
I spent the better part of last night trying to skirt Kaden's questions about why I was acting strange. Honestly, I thought that I was being as normal as I possibly could be given the circumstances, but the knot in my stomach continued to tighten with each moment as it passed.
