Chapter 25 - Maybe that's why I am able to think rationally

"Wait how did we end up here, I am pretty sure that Akari said that we were dealing with some kind of terrorist organisation, then from where the hell these nemeses came from?" I asked myself sub concisely.

Iqbal moved his hand and at a distance, a wall of fire emerged. "This would give us some time, Akari it's all up to you," Iqbal said to Akari.

"If I go all out then this place will be unrecognisable. Besides if I focus only on the attack it will hinder our defence, we are already one man down."

"Don't worry about us, Kid you could stand upright. In your condition I won't demand much but if you can fight then prepare for battle." Liam said to me but as much as these words were for me they were for Akari as well.

"Yes, I think so." I stood up. The place where I got hit by a bullet felt like it was burning and I was pretty sure I was bleeding at that spot. Somehow I stood up and looked at those 3.

"Good, If you could generate a weapon any kind of weapon which could pierce their head or chop them into pieces before they could regenerate." Liam requested or more like it was a demand.

"Don't think you are asking too much just look at him." Iqbal interrupted.

I lifted a figure "Wait I don't have 1 weapon what do you demand in my mind. yeah, not just one instead, I have 2."

All three of them looked at me in suspense. Suddenly, the floor started shaking, it felt like an elephant was running at its full potential. A nemesis charged at full strength crossed the firewall.

"Impossible I made the wall super thick" Iqbal shouted in surprise but before it could reach me I busted his with rapid fire.

Within that small time frame, I created an M134 Minigun and launched a barrage of attacks and burst its head within milliseconds. The dead body of my nemesis came sliding at my feet. I stomped one of my feet on its body.

"How did you do that? I mean... Nothing forget about it" Iqbal was speechless.

I looked at my feet surprised "Survival instinct maybe?" I looked at all three of them.

All three of them went silent for a few seconds. "Ok forget about defending him. Let's focus completely on the attack." Akari said.

"Well yeah, he is more than safe with this big baby here, but remember kid you have only practised shooting once, and this is not a shooting range and not a game. This is a real battlefield, a situation where you KILL OR BE KILLED. Understand" Liam said to me.

"Clearly," I put down my gun "Daam this thing is heavy. Not to mention the recoil" I complained to myself. I created a UZI . A light but a deadly gun. "This will do."

"Fine I will take it with me and you also coming with me boy." Liam picked up my M134 Minigun and said.

"haan... but why?" I asked.

"What if I am out of ammo in the middle of the battle."

"Fine, I mean it's not like I know anything other than hand-to-hand combat. And I am sure hand-to-hand will not work on them." I tried to joke around a bit to smooth out the tense atmosphere.

"I am lowering the flames." No one laughed but the atmosphere got more and more intense after he warned that he is lowering the flames.

"Remember, Rakesh aim for the head." Ivan tried to remind me about their weakness.

As soon as the fire went down Akari charged at full speed she was cutting the nemesis like butter one after the other. But as fast as she was cutting them many others were coming from mine-like structures, it was more like they were falling.

No intelligence, no brain, just instinct. That was the behaviour those nemesis were showing. They were like animals, massive, hungry and dangerous animals. And they were not able to control their hunger in front of their favourite food, HUMANS.

"Woosh.... here she goes. The titan killer, " Liam added his commentary.

"Hay Liam do you have those small magic orbs, which Emily used to check my magic," I asked Liam.

"Why do you ask I mean I have a few of them, but I only have water and lightning," Liam replied with a bit of disappointment.

"Only water and lightning. OK, how many? I wanna know because I have a plan" I said with huge confidence.

"Sure I have maybe 3 water and 2 of lightning." Liam opened a portal just above his hand and took out 5 golf ball-sized magic orbs. "May I ask you, how your brain started working so fast, I mean were used to being nervous and scared all the time?"

"Well, I think after experiencing death, I kind of lost fear of death. now I am not scared of these bio-weapons like a nemesis. Maybe that's why I am able to think rationally right now " I took the balls and prepared myself for battle.

Slash! Slash! Slash! Akari was cutting down a number of nemesis within a matter of seconds. Each step, each swing and each move was so precise that her enemy can't escape. It was spear play at its perfection. The pinnacle of perfection for martial arts.

"Bring it Onnnnn!!!!" Akari shouted, no it was more like a battle cry. "If I use my full power then this place will become unrecognisable. I need to stay calm." Akari thought to herself.

"Rember, this so-called magic is of various types, ... you know you don't need a notebook and pen to understand this. I am not giving a lecture like your professors" Emily was teaching me with the help of a smart table (just like smart tv).

"No sorry, I mean... I.... I have a habit of noting down everything so that I could recall it." I tried to justify myself. "Sh!t, I did it again. I created a pen and notepad out of thin air before I know it. It's amazing that she can't even see but can sense what is going on around her with pinpoint precision"

"So as I was saying. There were fundamentally only 4 types of magic. 1. Fire, 2. Water, 3. Earth, 4. Wind."

"AAhhan..."

"Just like your chemistry, there are theories and those theories have more exceptions than any real products."

"Daam, why she brought that up? That was the only subject I was weak at. I somehow only managed to score in that subject. Good thing I was able to memorise every equation in my book, otherwise, I am pretty sure I don't even remember the periodic table after calcium. But I still managed to score the highest marks. I can only call it luck because I don't know how I was able to do that myself." I did that to myself.

"Look at this chart. Here are the basics of what you would need to learn. I will try to keep it simple. There are basically 4 types of elements involved in magic and each and each has an element opposed to the other."

"AAhan...Noted" I was writing down each and every detail. "Look at the chart? did she forget she is blind? I mean if someone didn't know she was blind then they would never believe it."

"Usually a human and elves like us have only had attributes for one element but you are one rare case maybe one in millions because you have attributes for each and every element. But it's not like you are the first one who possesses this speciality"

"Wait there are others, who have attributes for every element?" I asked with enthusiasm.

"Of course there are...
