Chapter 9 - The Richman - Old Friend

Sheina was queuing at the coffee shop for the take home service, inexplicably she chose to enjoy her coffee at home today. In the front queue someone suddenly came and I don't know what happened, the man who had just entered and was pulling the woman who was in the row where Sheina was queuing three people in front of her was arguing with her in a restrained voice.

"Let me go." The woman in line tried to flick the man's arm and the woman behind her was trying to defend.

"Easy man, he doesn't want you to take him."

"It's not your business!" The man actually seemed to be loud and Sheina was attracted to approach him.

"Leave her or I'll call the pollice." Sheina looked at the man as she took off her sunglasses, the man seemed to recognize Sheina the lawyer who was often wara-wiri on television news and chose to avoid.

"Our business is not finished yet." The man threatened the woman and Sheina kept staring at him for him to go away from the woman.

"Thank you." The young woman with short hair looked up looking at Sheina who was taller than her. He looks like an Asian descent when viewed from the color of his skin and the shape of his eyes.

"Sheryl?" Sheina's brow furrowed.

"Sheina?" The young girl who had just gotten a defense from Sheina looked surprised that she met a friend during her high school.

"Ok, we'll talk after you get your coffee, the queue behind is still long." Sheina returned to her queue and Sheryl got her coffee because she happened to be number two from the front. After getting the coffee, they decided to talk and sat down at an empty table whose position happened to be in the corner of the room.

"After a long time we finally met in this place." Sheryl looked lightened looking at Sheina.

"Yes." Sheina nodded. "I didn't expect it to be you, you performed so differently." Sheina praised, she saw Sheryl Wong in a different version. When she was in high school this girl had a sintal body with long black hair loose and she was wearing glasses. But what she met at this time, she really looked different from the bob model's short haircut, she looked much thinner and without glasses.

"I heard that you lived in Germany a few years ago." Sheryl said.

"Yes, just for school." He said.

Sheryl smiled, "I often see you on television, you are cool Sheina, you are always cool." He praised.

"Thank you." Actually, the compliment actually made Sheina short of breath. There was nothing cool at all let alone the assassination attempt that happened to him. "What about you?" Sheina asked.

"I only enjoyed traveling after I was almost crazy working on wall street." Sheryl said and it made Sheina chuckle.

"You're serious?" Sheina asked.

"Yes." His nod. "I had a serious problem, mental illness." He added.

"Really, how did that happen?" Sheina became curious.

Sheryl sighed deeply, "Wall street, you know it's a place that won't give you access to sleep. Every day you just think about gains and losses and I get caught in a deeper and deeper problem because I'm losing my life for money." Sheryl smiled.

"I worked in a well-known financial company and overnight because of my negligence and the misanalysis I did I almost bankrupted my company and I was fired. Losing my job and most of my personal savings, I'm almost crazy." Sheryl smiled.

Sheina listened with great interest, while Sheryl took a sip of her coffee. "You know, insomnia if left unchecked will get worse and it happens to me. At first it was just insomnia, then I had an anxiety disorder, a kind of OCD, I did repeated checks for the various things I worked on and made sure I didn't make a mistake." Sheryl sighed, "My career was ruined because a financial planer ended, none of the securities service companies were willing to hire me because of the one rigor I made, after I worked for so many years. It's fatal." Sheryl said.

"I'm sorry." Sheina took Sheryl's hand. Although during high school they were not very familiar, But Sheina always helped Sheryl when the girl was subjected to neglect and discrimination by friends in her class.

Sheryl smiled. "It was a turning point in my life." His smile. "I went back to Singapore, where my grandmother lived. And learn to make peace with myself. I learned to love myself and accept the situation at that time. With the rest of my savings I changed my plans and chose to live an excursion. I earn money from personal finance services with the apps I created, so I don't have to work for a company, I work with myself." Sheryl said.

"It's amazing." sheina's eyes lit up. "I've always known that you're a Sheryl diamond, even when friends in our class are laughing at you."

Sheryl nodded, "Every time I fall, I find a bounce point in my slump and make it a moment to rise."

"You really inspire me." Sheina smiled. "Later I felt saturated with what I was doing. Sometimes I find my work to influence the way I view life and influence the way I view my personal relationships with those around me." Sheina complained.

"You're tired Sheina, try to take a little time and do something out of the box. Enjoy how exciting life is and how wasted it is if we only work on one thing in common every day without knowing the value of ourselves if we do anything else." Sheryl took a deep look at Sheina.

"You're right." Sheina seemed to have just been enlightened by what Sheryl had said to her, about taking a pause to do something new. Looking for a reflective point in life to find a higher jump.

"Yes, try to do it." Sheryl lit up looking at Sheina.

"Oh yes, I really don't want to interfere in your affairs. But the man just now?" Sheina narrowed her eyes at Sheryl.

"He's my former lover, Daniel. We just broke up and he still can't accept that our relationship is over." Sheryl replied casually.

"Wow, you seem to have completely changed, I can't even find the Sheryl Wong I used to know." Sheina chuckled and Sheryl chimed in laughing, laughing at herself was a sign that someone had good mental health, and it was already evident that Sheryl was increasingly able to find her confidence and she seemed so enjoying being him.

"Sheryl, I'm very happy to meet you. Can you leave your mobile phone number, we bica talk a lot after this." Sheina thrust

"Of course." Sheryl deftly wrote down her cell phone number on Sheina's smartphone.

"Thank you." Sheina smiled, "But I'm sorry, I have to go because today I had an appointment to see my doctor, a car accident caused my hand to have a fracture and some time ago I felt uncomfortable for no reason, so I made an appointment with the doctor today at eleven o'clock." Sheina and Sheryl nodded in understanding.

"Ok, bye." Sheryl got up from where she was sitting and Sheina gave her a brief hug. They separated and on her way to home, Sheina kept thinking about taking a break in her life. Maybe afterwards he could see everything more clearly. She could see how much she loved Oliver after all this time there were doubts that came and went. He also wants to find his true self after all the life processes he has experienced so far, trying to find his "value".

As people always say, that painting must be viewed remotely in order to look like it exists. Looking at the painting at close range actually seems blurry. Likewise with life, sometimes we have to occasionally take a distance from the closest people so that we can feel the meaning of their presence in our lives.

Sheina took her mobile phone and wrote a text message just after she consulted the doctor and the doctor said that her condition was fine, the pain she had felt was possible due to fatigue and lack of vitamins. Because of her health in excellent condition, Sheina felt that it was time to take a distance, as Sheryl said earlier in the coffee shop.

"I'll take two weeks off." Sheina wrote and sent to Oliver's number. The man, who was busy at work, immediately contacted Sheina as soon as he got a short message from the woman he loved, even though he had rejected her dozens of times, and even broke off their engagement, but every action Sheina took was a concern for Oliver.

"Hello." Oliver opened the voice.

"Hi." Sheina replied hesitantly, she was sure that Olvier would question this decision of hers desperately.

"What do you mean by two weeks off? What did the doctor say?" Oliver knew that upon returning from his apartment Sheina would see her doctor for a consultation. Oliver was worried that if the results of his examination showed anything bad, Sheina would have to take two weeks off.

"No, I'm fine." Sheina tried to explain. "It's not about my health." He added.

"Then why do you want to take two weeks off?"

"I want to go for a walk." Sheina replied casually.

"Where are you going?" Oliver became curious.

"I haven't decided yet." Sheina replied.

"You want us to go together?" Oliver really hoped that they could take time for the holidays together, maybe it would be easier for Sheina to feel how much Oliver loved and wanted her.

"Not this time." Sheina replied steadily. "Sorry Oliver, I want to enjoy my own time for a while, I need to clear my mind." He explained.

"You really want to run away from me?" Oliver asked and it made Sheina laugh. "Of course not." Disclaimer. "I actually hope that after the two-week vacation I took, I can go back and see our relationship more clearly." Sheina argued.

"Or you will find another man who is more attractive than me."

"Hey . . ." Sheina chuckled. "Why would an Oliver Hawkins become so insecure?"

"I'm not." Oliver denied. "Ok, take your two years off and come back to me." Answer.

"Yep." Sheina smiled as she left the loby of the house and headed for her car park. "Bye." Sheina ended her call and got into her car. In the car before he left the house he contacted Ben, his father and said the same.

"Hi dad, are you busy right now?" Sheina asked.

"Hi sweetheart, of course there is always time for you baby. What's the matter?" Ben asked.

"Dad, I'll take a day off from my job and go on vacation." He said.

Ben looked quite surprised at what his son had said. "Boy, that's good baby, I'm glad to hear it. You do need a vacation." Ben said. "You went with Oliver?" Ben asked.

"No, I want to go by myself." replied Sheina.

"Are you ok sweety?" Ben asked suddenly, going alone wasn't Sheina's type considering she always went with her father and after she had her own life, Oliver became a person never far from her. "You had a fight with Oliver?"

Sheina chuckled, "Of course not dad, I'm not a kid anymore."

"Ok. Then why is it so sudden and why do you want to go by yourself?"

Sheina sighed deeply, "Keep away the absurd stupid thoughts dad, I just want to enjoy the holiday by myself. I'm tired of everything and it really takes time for myself."

"Ok baby, you're an adult and daddy knows you can take care of yourself."

"Thank you dad." Sheina replied. "I'll see you after coming back from my vacation."

"Tell daddy, where are you going?"

"I don't have a goal yet, I will inform you after I find my goal." Sheina replied.

"Ok baby, I always wish you all the best."

"Thanks dad, I love you." Sheina closed.

"I love you too baby." Ben replied. Their call ended and Sheina couldn't wait to get home and immediately did a search through the Google search engine to find an out of the box tourist destination that would change her life.
