AUTHOR'S P.O.V
He spent ten minutes in the waiting room before the receptionist beckoned on him to come in.
"The third Woods, what brings you to my office?" The principal asked, offering him a seat, he declined. He didn't want to sit, he came there for a brief discussion
"I need to be on the team again," he declared.
The principal laughed a little
"You are still on the team… you're just not playing" he corrected
"But I want to play. I need to play" Xavier started with a hint of desperation
"Why is that young man?" The principal asked
Xavier sighed and bowed his head
"It's no news that I don't get good grades, so getting to school with sports is my best bet. I know for certain that scouts would soon start loitering the basketball games. I need them to see me play" he explained
The principal had compassion on the boy, he knew what he had been through and how he only had his brothers.
