Chapter 6
Jessie's P.O.V
Lunch is pretty much the happiest time of the day for almost everyone in school. It's the time when everyone can just relax, eat and talk without any adults hovering over them.
For Riley and I, it was a time to snack and catch up on anything that we hadn't discussed before classes. But after what happened yesterday. Our table is extremely quiet today.
We both sit quietly and just much on our snacks. I've got some potato chips and Riley has some muffins. She always shares her muffins with me. I stare at the beautifully shaped muffins until she hands me one. I smile at her and put it in my mouth to take a bite. As soon as I take a bite out of them, a piece of paper is flung onto our table and Xavier sits on the empty space on the bench opposite of us.
"Hey, nerd. That's my schedule" he points to the piece of paper.
"Hello to you too Xavier," I say sarcastically and collect the piece of paper from Riley's hands.
