Landmark's school for the gifted did not disappoint. The buildings were exactly like they were displayed in the brochure and in all the sites Jessie had binge browsed the previous day with Riley.
Jessie was ready for the new school in many ways. Physically, she had gone to the saloon the day before and removed the red dye. Now her hair was as brown as it was supposed to be. Academically, she had spent the whole night, brushing up on some of her school books. She knew she was going to be surrounded by a lot of smarter kids and she didn't want to seem dumb.
Jessie smiled at herself as she looked at the schedule in her hand.
Her parents had come earlier and done everything for her even gotten her uniform. It was a sky blue button up shirt with a dark blue tie on top, a navy blue plaid skirt or pants depending on what you prefer. She had gotten the both but on this very day she had chosen to wear the skirt.
