Jessie smiled and lay on her bed. The talk with her parents went way better than she had thought it would. She picked up her phone to call Xavier but stopped as her door swung open. She sat up straight and watched as her mum walked in. She had a brochure in her hand and she looked serious.
"Honey there's something we have to talk about" her mother said as she sat down on the bed with her
"What's that?" Jessie asked. She tried to get a glimpse of the brochure her mum was holding. Whatever she wanted to talk about it must have something to do with the brochure
As if reading her mind, her mum opened up the brochure and placed it on her lap
"This is the brochure for Landmarks school for the gifted"
"Oh" Jessie whispered
