A LITTLE RECAP
"So about yesterday" I hear Xavier say.
I sit up and give him a look
"Mmhmm"
He sits up and faces me. He clears his throat and scratches the back of his head. He must be really nervous, he only does that when he is nervous
"A lot was said yesterday and I want you to know I meant everything. By the way, how's your brother doing?"
Why does Jake have to interrupt everything even when he's not here
"He's fine, just a little trouble at school. What were you saying?"I ask to get him going
"I was saying that I meant everything I said to you last night" he states
I gulp nervously
"I meant what I said too" I have no idea why I'm suddenly nervous
He holds my hand and the butterflies return.
