Hu Ying took screenshots of the diary - especially all the key suspicious moments he had and then sent it to his friend. Xiao Weiwei's plan was seamless - there was no way the plot would allow her to go to jail since she was destined for a mental hospital. She made sure that no one investigating could link her to the incident. She was confident but Chen Jiayin herself was extremely nervous.
She didn't know why but suddenly, her parents started coming home very late everyday - sometimes they would not even come home for days and this made her very scared. As surgeons, they had to be on call but somehow her instincts told her this was different. Chen Jiayin thought that her plan was seamless but middle school children would always be able to expose some shortcomings in their plans. For her, it was her safehouse surveillance.
