"Ah! I've read my story about 20 times by now, as Monica said, but why am I unable to write the next chapter?" Iseul sighed, placing her head on the table. Meanwhile, little Polly also took a deep breath when she saw her pitiful condition. And then she noticed a bundle of old magazines lying next to a mini cupboard under her television. And in the very first magazine it was written 'If you have a sister, you don't need a friend, but if you have an enemy, you would definitely need a sister' Happy Sisters Day.
Her eyes lit up as if she had a great idea. Excited, she stepped on the TV remote and turned it on, frightening Iseul. She was horrified to witness such activity, but calmed herself down the moment she saw the remote lying next to her. She thought she might have accidentally put her hand on the TV remote, but the fact was that little Polly had placed it next to her after turning on the TV, so she wouldn't panic.
Iseul sighed and laid her head back on the table, and Polly got a chance to get down when she was looking at the opposite side of the magazine. She ran towards them and tried to pull the rope bound the magazines. But they didn't move even an inch. Her little hands were too small to pull them close to the table, so she pushed them from behind. The rope was not tightened properly, and the magazine that was on top fell off, scaring Iseul again. She looked around trembling and asked in the air, "Who? Who is it?".
Then the magazines caught her eyes and looked out the windows and thought it might be the wind. And went close to tie them back. While tieing, she saw that old advertisement for Sister's Day of the previous year. Her eyes enlarged, and with a smile on her face, she went back to her desk and started writing. There was a different glow on her face, which mesmerized Polly, and she realized that it is only writing that could pull her from the darkness, the shadows and the negativity to the light.
3 hours later
She stopped typing and did some exercise as her whole body was stiff, she sighed so loudly that it woke up little Polly who had fallen asleep out of boredom watching her work. It was 4:30 in the evening so she decided to go for a walk but before that she went to the washroom. Due to excitement, she even forgot to take a Leak. (Oh Iseul you're so reckless (- -))
Before getting up she closed her laptop and then went inside the washroom. It was a good chance for Miss Polly to take a look at her story but...she couldn't because the laptop was closed. She couldn't lift the laptop's monitor which irked her even more.
"Ah, now it's better." Iseul looked happy and refreshed. Her happy face aroused Polly's curiosity to see her story, but she was helpless. Iseul started picking up clothes to go out. She wore a pair of black trousers, a short white T-shirt that reached her waist and a black jacket to stand out. She combed her hair which was a very rare thing for her. And put on makeup too, she did all this just because she was happy that she finally got some ideas to continue her story.
She took her bag, picked up her laptop from the table and placed it inside. She closed the door and went outside, turning off all her electrical appliances. Miss Polly knew it very well, she would definitely take her laptop with her so when she was about to pick up the laptop, she had already climbed onto the laptop and was in a hanging position. The moment she started to put it in her bag, she slid off the surface of her laptop which was quite shiny and polished.
All the way, little Polly saw nothing but Iseul's face. She kept staring at her smiling face which she found very suspicious. "Iseul-shi, why are you smiling so much. Just to continue my story...huh? If you're so happy, show me what you've written, then." she muttered to herself, crossing her arms.
Iseul, stopped by a coffee shop and bought a cup of latte. Putting her left hand in her trouser pocket and enjoying the coffee, she walked towards a nearby bookshop. After searching for a while she finally found a good book to read. She found the summary of the book very intriguing, so she went to the counter to buy it. But there was no one in the counter section "Excuse me, I want to buy this book. Is anybody here?" she called.
"Ah! Sorry miss, for keeping you waiting..." An old lady came out from inside the store. She was in an apron, had a dusting stick in her right hand and was also wearing a face mask. It looked like she was cleaning her shop.
"The thing is the girl who used to help me. She left her job to get married. So there is no one else to help me with running this shop. And I'm also planning to close this store anytime in future. I am thinking of doing it sooner though. And on the top of that there's also no strength left to run it alone. These old, frail legs of mine no longer have the vigor of youth..." she went on speaking as she took off her gloves, apron and face mask.
That's when Iseul got the idea to ask the woman to work with her in the store. "No ma'am there is no need for you to close your store... just because your previous employee has left you. If you need someone to work with you I can do that. I have been looking for a perfect job for a very long time. And I think I can help you out." Iseul's offer came as a surprise to the old lady. She felt that Iseul was at the perfect age to be a working woman.
"Um...are you sure Miss you want to do this?" the woman asked.
"No...I'm 1000% sure." Her eyes lit up.
"Okay...if you're so excited to work here, come over tomorrow morning at 10:30" she smiled.
Little Polly was really happy for Iseul but she was also a little worried for her. Because she trusts people too easily. She just didn't want her to get hurt again.
Meanwhile "Wow...today is my luckiest day. I got a job, I wrote 2 chapters and I don't have a headache." Iseul was so happy that she spent half of her savings to buy herself an expensive dinner.
Which she regretted spending the next morning. (- -)
