Few minutes later, two ambulances arrived at the location and did a checkup on Alex and Belle. After checking on them they uploaded them on each hospital and drove away, Wade went with hate ambulance that had Belle and Nic rode the ambulance that had Alex, They both told to the drivers to head to The Brooklyn Hospital Center, because they knew that they'll want to be in the same place.
Hour a half later they arrived at the hospital and they took them both. They took Alex to the operation room immediately and Belle to the emergency room to check her arm that had loss of blood.
Alex's family came to the hospital upon hearing that Alex and Belle were at the hospital and that Clair was finally behind bars for good.
They sat in the waiting room in front of the operation room and waited for new from the doctored about Alex. Nic sat next to Gabie and hugged her while she cried her eyes out.
"I don't want to lose my brother, Nic. Do you think he's going to be OK? He won't die, right?" Gabie cried while she tried to calm herself. "Where is Belle, Nic?" she asked him
"She is at the ER for now. She lost a lot of blood apparently while she tried to help Alex. Let's see her too. Don't worry, my love. Your parents will tell you when Alex is out of the operation room. Let's go." Nic helped Gabie to get up from the chair and went to the ER to see Belle. When they arrived, they saw Nic's parents sitting next to her.
"Mom, dad when did you arrive?" Nic hugged his parents and then went to give Belle a kiss on her forehead. "How is she? What the doctored told you?" He asked as he saw Belle connected to all kinds of machines.
"The doctor said the because she lost a lot of blood, she is in a coma now. They gave her blood, but they don't know when she'll wake up." Julia told Nic and Gabie with a sad face while looking at Belle, who slept peacefully, dispute everything.
Nic and Gabie couldn't believe that this happened to the both of them and it's all Clair's fault! Gabie kissed her friend on the forehead and left her room with tears running down her face.
An hour later, a doctor ruffianly came out of the OR and approached them.
"Families of Alex Daniels?" He asked
"We are doc. How is my son?" Kristin asked the doctor.
"We got the bullet out of him. Thankfully, it wasn't near the heart and it didn't damage any other organ. We'll move him to a room soon, so you'll be able to see him. In a month, we'll discharged him from the hospital." The doctor said with a smile on his face after he took off his operation hat.
They all thanked the doctor and waited for Alex to be out of the OR and be next to him.
A Month Later
Alex sat next to Belle, who hadn't woken up from a coma. He couldn't believe that she was in a coma. Please wake up, my love. I want to tell you how much I'm sorry for every bad word that came out of my lips to you and how much I love you. He thought to himself while he stroke Belle's hair and her face. He just want to see her blue eyes again, he just want to get lost in those beautiful blue eyes that always looked at him, just like they were looking at him at this moment. Wait a minute, she's actually really looks at him this moment.
"Help, I need a nurse here right now!" Alex called from her room. "How are you feeling, Belle? Are you in pain?" Alex was so happy to see that Belle open her eyes to him. He wanted to kiss her to say thank god for waking up. Nurse with a doctor came in and told Alex to leave the room so they could check on her.
Alex left the room and his and Nic's family coming toward Belle's room.
"Mom, dad, Belle had woke up just now. The doctor and a nurse are checking her out right now." Alex hugged his mother from happiness and then hugged his best friend.
After he released Nic from a hug, he was happy and smiling again at him. And then he thought. It's time for me to accept that Gabie was happy with Nic. I've known him all my life. How can I be such an idiot and actually separate them? He looked at Nic and Gabie and told them.
"Can we go to the cafeteria and just talk?" he asked
"If it's about us, maybe we should wait until we know Belle is doing OK." Gabie told her brother.
"Just go, kids. I'll let you know later what the doctor said to us about Belle. It's time for the three of you to have a serious chat about everything." Julia told them and pushed them forward the elevators.
"Are you sure, mom?" Nic asked his mother
"Yes, son. Just go. Don't worry about anything and talk to each other. You both a best friend since you were in diapers." His mom assured him. So they left Belle's room and went to have a long and serious talk about his and Gabie's relationship.
They went down the elevator, but they were nervous about what Alex will tell them upon arriving the cafeteria. Few minutes later, they arrived at their destination and went to sit at the far side of the cafeteria and wired for their verdict.
