Susumu has traded places with Ayano; he is now the one being swallowed by the world's most comfortable sofa... I'd love to be engulfed by it as well...
Meanwhile, Ayano is in the restroom... Maybe I should go check on her; after all, I'm a girl, so this isn't strange at all! When I had to describe Susumu in the bathtub, I felt humiliated...
Ayano is humming to herself while resting in the bathtub with her hair in a ponytail and an adorable rubber duckie floating in the water.
She then raises her knees to her chest and rests her head on one of them, a faint blush on her face as she mumbles, "This is so lovely..." She looks around the restroom.
A muffled but strong sneeze is then heard outside the bathroom, possibly from the living room. I'm not sure; if Senpai was conducting the narrations, he'd know who caused it and where it originated...
When Ayano hears the sneeze, she laughs and says, "Well, I believe that means my bath time is done..." She climbs out of the bathtub, and water runs down her body. She returns to the bathtub and bends over, resting her forearm on the tub, before opening the drain. The water drains, and the bathtub is soon empty.
She straightens her back and picks a towel from the rack. She uses the towel to dry her dark brown hair first, then moves down and wipes her upper and lower body.
After she finishes cleansing, she wraps the towel right above her chest and walks out of the bathroom, into the living area, and directly into her room, not paying attention to Susumu.
She comes up to her closet and unhooks a white blouse with a panda print on it and a pink hoodie—wait, how many pink hoodies does she own? two... four... six... seven? She has seven pink hoodies in her closet?
She then opens another cabinet and pulls out a bra and a pair of panties, removing the towel and putting on her undergarments; after putting on her panties, she snaps the bra onto her chest before muttering, "Huh, why does it feel like my bra got smaller? Whatever... The last time I bought my bras was two years ago, I should probably go buy some new bras when I have time..."
She then puts on the panda print shirt and one of the seven pink sweatshirts, then pulls out a pair of slim jeans from the wardrobe and slides into them; after changing her clothes, she stares at her alarm clock, which is currently glowing in red, and the time is 4:23 AM.
Another sneeze sounds from outside the room, and Ayano shakes her head and marches out into the living room, arms crossed, saying, "Since when did you have a cold?"
Susumu turns his head slothfully to Ayano, "I got it when I slept in the bathtub..." He then reaches for the tissue box on the coffee table, pulls out a tissue, and blows his nose with it.
Ayano shakes her head in disappointment, "Well, I also have another question: Why did you wake up sooner than me?"
Susumu looks over to Ayano while still holding the tissue up to his nose, squeezes it to get the mucus out, sets it down, and says, "By this time, myself, Moriyama-san, and Fujikawa-san would be on the phone together and just talk—"
Ah! Oh, how did it catch me off guard? Oh, I forgot to describe what happened... oops. His phone suddenly switches on with a buzz, Susumu turns his head and takes up his phone and answers it.
He lifts his phone up to his face and sees two faces on the screen: a brown-haired person at a desk with a stack of papers beside him, and an extremely good-looking crimson-haired boy lying down on his bed with glasses on.
Who are these folks in the first place? L—Let me just look at Senpai's notes again...
Takashi Fujikawa, seventeen years old, five feet seven inches tall... with crimson hair and red eyes... So here is the attractive dude, I'm kind of intrigued by him...
Who is the other one...? Moriyama Fumio, seventeen years old, five feet eight inches tall, with brown hair and hazel eyes... I'll give him that he appears to be a dedicated student.
Takashi and Fumio greet Susumu with a cheery "Heyo, Ishibashi-san!" Susumu smiles, his nose twitches, and he picks out another tissue from the tissue box to blow his nose.
Fumio stares at his monitor, remarking on his sneeze, "Since when did you get—" He is interrupted by Susumu, "Shinsato-san already asked that question earlier; yes, I do have a cold."
Fumio closes his eyes and nods. After a second, he reopens his eyes, and his hazel pupils have shrunk, he shouts, "Wait, Shinsato-chan asked you earlier!?" his microphone peaks on some lines.
Takashi is wearing earbuds, so when he hears Fumio yell, he covers his ear and says, "Dude, don't shout so loudly, you nearly burst one of my eardrums..." He then turns to Susumu and says, "But honestly, did you get in a call with Shinsato-san before you answered?"
Susumu glances up at the ceiling and thinks for a moment before returning his stare to his phone and saying, "We didn't get in a call. I went and visited her apartment for a 'thing' and remained overnight."
"How straightforward of you," his three buddies muttered.
Ayano walks back into her room, and closes the door behind her, she then remembers something, "I should probably tell Ishibashi-san to keep my project a secret; I know that he'll still reveal it after telling him multiple times to not spill the beans."
She reopens the door, and peeks her head through, she snaps her fingers to get Susumu's attention; Susumu turns to face her as she gestures for him to come closer.
Susumu then turns to his phone and says, "Wait, I'll be right back," before putting the phone down and walking over to Ayano, who asks him in a whisper, "Could you please keep the visual novel a secret from them?"
"You don't have to remind me every day, Shinsato-san," Susumu says after letting out a sigh.
Ayano pouts, "Remember what happened when you previously said that? You told everyone in our class that I liked—"
"—boys who were smarter than you, I know..." Susumu completed the sentence for her, Ayano squints her eyes and frowns, "I can't believe I had to compete against boys who tried their hardest to outscore me in the exams..."
Susumu nods, "Don't worry, I won't tell them," Ayano looks him down, "You better," she pulls her head back and closes the door.
He returns his gaze to his phone as he walks back to the sofa, he sits down and picks it up, Fumio looks back at his camera before saying, "Moving on, what are your end-of-week reports?"
Takashi adds as he rests his head on the pillow beneath his head, "Twelve people confessed to me this week; I just hope everything goes as planned and everyone forgets about me so I can relax."
Susumu remarks, "This is a fairly tiny change from the thirteen confessions you got last week. Seriously, why did you have to help that junior with their stalker?"
Takashi then glances back at his screen before replying, "I can't help myself, seeing anybody in danger just frustrates me, so I had to help."
"Alright, comparing his confession rates from this week to the prior three weeks... the number of confessions has been slowly falling. Reminder: the highest it has been was seventeen confessions, and that was a month ago, so this is a good shift," Fumio says as he writes on his keyboard.
Fumio then scribbles something on a piece of paper next to his mousepad, "March 27, end-of-week confession report..."
He then asks, returning his focus to the display, "Any more findings, how about you, Ishibashi-san?"
Susumu looks blankly into his phone and says, "Nothing out of the ordinary, I did spot a black cat on my way to school at the beginning of the week, but other than that, no new incidents."
He pauses, looks about the room for a bit, then returns to his phone before asking, "While we're on the subject of new discoveries, how about you, Moriyama-san? Did you do anything exceptional this week?"
Susumu blows his nose on another tissue as he waits for Fumio to dig through his memories, Fumio then says, "I did play some new visual novels, one of those being, 'An Unreliable Part-Time Job,' where you play as a third-year senior high school student, who goes house-to-house delivering newspapers, it may seem boring at first, but it goes extremely in-depth with the routes, there's this one route where..."
As Susumu turns down the volume on his phone, he thinks, "He's going to go explain the entire scenario of the game again, I hope Fujikawa-san did the same thing..."
He checks his phone and notices Takashi has removed his earbuds; the two of them continue to 'listen' to Fumio's babbling.
Fumio's face changes from one look to the next; one moment his brows are down, and the next his cheeks are bright red.
After what appears to be hours of babbling, his countenance returns to a neutral state as he lets out a big exhale. Susumu raises the volume on his phone, and Takashi puts on his earbuds.
"...And that's why I say 'An Unreliable Part-Time Job' isn't the best, but it's also not the worst; I still think the main character might be better, but other than that, it's a phenomenal visual novel you guys should try out."
Takashi and Susumu nod, despite the fact that they didn't hear a word he said... I'm curious about this visual novel; I might try it when Senpai returns from his rest.
Susumu sneezes again while covering his nose with a tissue, Takashi then asks out of the blue, "Hey, may I ask, but how is Shinsato-san doing?"
Susumu looks at his camera before saying, "Oh, she's working on this—" Susumu freezes before finishing the sentence, reflecting internally, "Crap, I nearly told her secret... again!"
Takashi tilts his head, "She's working on what?"
Susumu laughs uneasily, "Sh—She's working on her schoolwork as always," Fumio and Takashi squint their eyes, and Susumu gulps in some saliva as he prepares for the worse, Takashi then replies, "Fair enough, she's always been like that."
Fumio continues, "I still can't seem to surpass her in grades, no wonder, she does her schoolwork throughout the weekends. I typically just rest my mind on these kinds of days," as he places his head on his hand.
"She hasn't changed a bit since New Year's Eve, right?" Takashi chuckles.
Susumu glances out the living room window, seeing the once-dark sky slowly transform into a warm orange, birds flying in the distance, and he answers, "Not at all."
