Chapter 38 - A New Day

"Hmm~"

Allen stretched his arms as he stood from his bed. His eye scanned around the room to find himself in an unexpected place.

He didn't remember much after yesterday's battle, he was surprised to find himself unscattered. There were no wounds or injuries on his body like nothing had happened to him.

He found his clothes tattered, holes that could fit a hand was visible.

"..."

Allen changed his clothes quickly and sat on the bed grabbing his head. His head ached like a hammer was constantly hitting it. His skull vibrated after every hit.

"What the hell happened yesterday?"

He asked, and tried to remember yesterday's event. He remembered that he fought with Mr. Huan guy, and at the last moment, he fired many skills and then...

A sharp spread in his brain. A fog clogged his memories, it may look small, but it made him feel like he forgot a huge thing.

He exited the room, now that he think about it, he didn't look at the inn. He wondered if this 'Mega Huge Inn' name matches the building.

The room he stayed in seemed small, but he didn't go back to check it. His eye lay in the inn's hallway.

"..."

The beautiful hallway stunned Allen. The smooth texture of the carpet made him feel smooth, or kind of nice. The colorful hallway depicted the art. The color skillfully hid the aura of the master painters.

The ceiling was 2 times longer than his height. The light hanging on the ceiling made him feel extravagant.

He couldn't take off his eye from the wall. Every brick was carefully painted, and every piece of carpet was carefully created. In short, this looked like a mansion where only a King could live.

He didn't know how his academy scored the room in this inn.

He exited the hallway and arrived at the receptionist. The young girl handling the front desk was different than yesterday.

The young girl stared at Allen and Allen also stared at her. The aura in the hall turned awkward.

The girl couldn't bear the atmosphere any longer, so she opened her mouth with a forced smile. "How may I help you, sir?"

"..."

Allen was quiet. The girl's eyes twitched. She waited for an answer...

After five minutes of silence, the girl spoke again.

"Sir!SIR!!!"

Her soft voice raised loud, feeling annoyed and irritated by the guest's behavior.

Allen jolted hearing the loud voice and looked at the girl with a frown. "Why did you shout? Am I ten walls far away from you?"

"..."

The girl felt like punching this man, but after getting a job at the luxurious inn, she had been trained to maintain her calm at all times.

Of course, she has to deal with these quirky and weird customers from time to time, so if they lashed out their anger every time, won't they cause a huge loss to the inn. Not only they will get fired, others inn won't even hire them.

"Anyway." Allen shook his head. He felt a headache, and he suddenly blacked out. So, he may be at fault, but he didn't care.

"I want to leave the inn. Do I have to register my leaving, or can I leave casually?"

'...Hah.' "Sir, you need to register your both entry and exit." She didn't make the talk longer with additional information. She just couldn't handle this guy and may lose her temper if she stayed with him a bit longer.

"Ok."

Allen checked his exit and left the inn. As he left the building, he was greeted by the beautiful view of a colorful garden.

A red carpet laid out from the Inn's gate to the Inn's building made it look luxurious. Besides the red carpet, a big garden with countless beautiful and colorful flowers bloomed.

The view attracted the attention of Allen. Many girls could be seen admiring the beauty of the garden while some could be found plucking flowers and putting them in their heads.

Not only that, some gardeners watered the plant and took care of it carefully and carely. The boys also escorted the girls hoping to make special relationships with them.

Allen shook his head, and diverted his attention.

He walked further and looked at the building. A huge mansion, with five floors came at Allen's view. He couldn't help but feel amazed by the building.

Every stone used to build the mansion was polished, you couldn't see any dirt on the mansion like it was cleaned daily.

Allen sighed. He left the Mega Huge Inn and walked on the street. He heard the talks of people.

"Have you seen the huge destruction at Alley no. 3"

"Oh yeah, I have heard about it. It seems thousands of people died there." The guy said with a sigh.

"Yeah, I heard. Many people didn't dare to go inside. Let it be mage, hunter or fighter or archer. Below tier 5, no one could even breathe the air there."

"My god, how much strong the people were that fought to this extent!"

"Who knows. The Sages are searching for them."

"Wow, Sages are searching for the criminals. They must be pretty strong."

"According to what I heard from the Figher-Class Sage, those fighting people must be around Sage-Realm mage."

"I don't know if I should feel scared or amazed."

"..."

Allen shook his head helplessly. His fight had caused the lives of many people and destroyed many families.

He felt some regrets, but he quickly removed them from his heart. If they died, then they died, what could I do about it?

He didn't care about the lives of ordinary people. It's not that he was heartless, but being soft-hearted and crying or regretting his action won't do anything now.

With a cold face that looked colder than ice, Allen walked ahead to the area where the battle took place.
