The Emperor?
Jiang Yue and Xue Yan immediately looked at each other.
The Emperor had actually come.
"Previously, when the Emperor went to the Public House, I was fortunate enough to see him from afar. However, I was afraid of being exposed, so I stood back. Unexpectedly, one of his guards found me and I was captured. I knew that it was the Emperor, so I told the Cloud Guards my identity.
"The Cloud Guards then released me and brought me to the Emperor. The Emperor asked me to tell Your Highness that he would be coming tonight and that Your Highness should not tell the Empress yet. He wants to give the Empress a surprise."
"Did you tell the Emperor about you keeping an eye on Prince Ying?" Jiang Yue and Xue Yan looked at each other again.
Zou Ba shook his head. "I only revealed my identity. I didn't mention anything else. The Emperor didn't ask."
Jiang Yue nodded.
