Upon returning to Imperial Garden from the hospital, Ming Yao slept in a deep stupor, nestled in Gu Siting's arms.
Gu Siting had rarely given himself a day off, and he too did not rise from bed, accompanying her in sleep until the afternoon of the next day.
The vibrating sound of the mobile phone awoke him, as Gu Siting reached for the phone on the bedside table and glanced at the caller ID with a slight frown.
It was a call from Old Madam Gu.
Just as the phone was about to disconnect automatically, he pressed the answer button.
To avoid waking Ming Yao, he threw back the covers, got out of bed, and spoke in a subdued voice, "Grandma."
Gu Siting walked towards the balcony of the bedroom.
"Ah Ting, today is the Lantern Festival. Your brother has returned to the country, and he and your parents will be back at the old house. Why don't you bring Ming Yao along, and let's have a family reunion meal!"
Gu Siting's expression remained indifferent, "We'll see."
