Gu Siting hadn't contacted Ming Yao for two straight days.
It was Lu Zhou who, upon learning she wasn't at the Imperial Garden, had visited the suburban courtyard several times, bringing along Gu Siting's coat.
Ming Yao couldn't hold back, and asked Lu Zhou when he brought the coat over, "Did Fourth Master ask you to deliver this?"
Lu Zhou didn't dare look into Ming Yao's eyes and hesitated before saying, "Fourth Master left his coat in the office when he left Li City, and I guess he wanted me to send it to you."
Although Lu Zhou didn't understand why Ming Yao needed Fourth Master's coat, a peculiar habit; on previous business trips, he mediated to deliver Fourth Master's coat to her. Now that Fourth Master had left the country and she wasn't in the Imperial Garden, he could only act as a bridge between the two.
Ming Yao's long lashes drooped, concealing the faint disappointment in her eyes, and she nodded, "I see."
She didn't ask any further, nor did she want to ask more.
