Reya's POV
The crossbreed who called me sister turned to dust before being blown away as Nia, my siblings, D and a mage walked out of the cave. We had won.
"What happened?" I asked the team from the mountain.
"We won," Nia smiled. In her hands were James's cloak and his sister's shoes.
"They… are gone?"
"They were not meant to exist anyway. They said that I should thank you for liberating them from their prisons."
"Prisons?"
"The powers of the box created crossbreeds out of dead creatures and did the same out of living ones. They were already dead, Reya. The only thing keeping them alive was the power of the box."
"And I didn't get to say a goodbye," I sighed, falling to my knees in exhaustion. It was finally over.
"Lord Frederick!" Everyone screamed running to him but it was too late. The vladian had died.
"Let me see if I can…"
