He gripped onto his neck struggling for breath as the blood spurted from it. I could hear him gurgling while gripping thin air like it would save him from dying.
"What have you done?" I turned to see a shocked Aaron staring at me with Kivo in his arms.
Turning back to the dying man on his knees, I had the urge to help him up and speed him to a mage who would heal him, but refrained from doing so. He had caused enough pain to me and my family, both human and mythical. It was time he paid for his crimes. Keeping him alive would only prolong my sufferings and I was tired of it. The people he had killed through me deserved vengeance, he had to pay with his life. I know right now I am the villain of the story, but I did not care. I had gone through a lot with Dreyfus being the mastermind behind it all. Maybe I deserved to end his story a bit earlier to save us all the trouble of going into more mess.
