The winds ran wild just as a snarl left my throat. Not waiting for any signal, I hit my left foot forward and lurched into the monster before me. Reaching into my hilt, I brought out the sword I had left unsheathed since the beginning of battle, drawing it out to slice the monster.
"You are still weak," his voice echoed in my head as he blocked my attack with a finger while punching me back with the other hand.
Rolling and tumbling away from him, I struggled helplessly to grab hold of anything I could see which would stop my fall to no avail. The speed I used while falling was incredibly high and everything I grabbed hold of broke in my palm.
"Did you think it would be that easy to kill me?!" his voice came again, this time closer than I would have liked as I spotted him from the side of my eye, flying to deal another punch to me.
'Jump!' she said to me like it was something simple to do.
'What?!'
'I said jump!'
