Drenidiopectuslipia's POV
"The gate is that way," she pointed behind her while I looked at her in confusion. I could swear that I had gone past this stage. Why was I repeating this conversation with the wolf? Or was I hallucinating?
"Have we had this conversation before?" I asked, scratching my head, not sure of what was happening.
"If we had done that, I would know," she smiled nervously, looking at me in concern.
"Alright," I said, chuckling. "I'm going to be on my way now."
"But I'm telling you that the gate is over here," she countered with a whine.
"But I can hear sounds of battle over here," I said to her pointing across the dark night ahead.
"Yeah, the crossbreeds have us surrounded so the mages and tutors of the dark castle are defending it. If we have any shot at doing anything, it would be to kill off the major guys at the gate."
I was sure we had had this conversation before however, asking any further would not be wise.
