The force the mysterious door brings with it sends a cold shiver to run throughout my soul. The tension in void around both Calli and I grows as the door, which has manifested silently and out of thin air opens… Out from the door walk a average looking man with round glasses and a combover. What draws my attention first is the bright lemon colored bow tie and then the cat with yellow eyes, long white fur with black stripes all over its body. I don't really recognize the man myself, but Calli clicks her tongue in annoyance after seeing his familiar appearance.
"Why, Hello Spawn #52! I hope I'm not interrupting something important am I?" The average looking man says while staring into Calliopes' pink eyes. I start to feel left out of the loop on what is happening, until the unknown mans attention shifts to me and I can see no emotion in his eyes.
"Hello, you may call me Fate, My, my, my. What an interesting irregular you are?" He asks me but I'm not sure whether he wants an answer or not.
"Fate what are you doing here? Interfering in my work is against the natural order and you know this. Now go kick rocks and carry on this your business!" Mori Calliope snarls at Fate before I could respond to him, once again returning his attention to her.
"Oh but Miss Mori! The natural order IS my business. Or did you forget that fact after becoming the Deaths number one apprentice?"
Calliopes attitude and facial expression almost does a 180 after Fates question. "Why, Mr.Fate what could you be doing here?" She asks shamelessly. I can do nothing but stare with my mouth wide open in exasperation at their short exchange.
"I was just so happening by when I noticed this irregular. As I was observing the irregular determining my next course of action, you walked in Miss Mori." Fate replied while giving me a side glance before focusing mainly on Calli once again. "Now can I ask you what you're doing here in the void with this irregular?" Fate asks Calliope with one raised eyebrow, as he starts to stroke the cat he's holding with one hand from head to tail.
Calliope Mori physically gulps, when I glance at her I notice a look of defeat in her eyes. She responds "I was about to kindly show this lost soul into the next life." Calli says and flutters her eyelashes innocently. I start to choke on my spit seeing her expression and hearing her reply. Oh if there really is a god please don't let me die a second time so pathetically I plead in my head.
