Lori smiled as she continued to apply the new shade of the lipstick on her lips standing in front of the mirror of her room where she looked perfect. She was pleased like always.
Everything in that huge room of hers was perfect like that shade of lipstick on her.
Those marvelous paintings of young handsome men whose beauty was out of the world. The paintings of those men sleeping peacefully looked so realistic as if at any moment they would open their eyes and come alive.
She was humming a song as she was
getting ready to meet 'someone special'. Dressed in a delicate white high neck gown of length below her knee with puffed sleeves along with white embroidered gloves and an Edwardian white hat, she looked even prettier. She then went on to make coffee with milk and one sugar cube with that 'pleased kind of' smile still intact on her face. She raised her head to look at the time and it was 11:11 a.m. Next, she poured the coffee in a flask, put it in a paper bag then took her luxurious purse and headed out.
She stopped her vintage car in front of the most popular and luxurious boutique owned by no other than her precious 'Edward'. Taking the paper bag in her hand, she went in.
"Hey! It's the youngest princess! Stand up!"
"What the f*ck are you doing! Stop eating!"
"Oh shit- my foot! Ouch! You stepped on my foot you piece of shit!"
"The princess would've stepped on your foot herself if I didn't. Afterall your face is so ugly. ewww."
"The princess stepping on my foot with her billion dollars heels shouldn't be compared to your ugly ass foot!"
"Can you both please get lost. You are so noisy. Oh My Gawd!"
"What are you waiting for? Take out all our collections! We shouldn't let her wait!"
"Yeah I'm coming with all of it! Just give me a little more tiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiii–!!!!!!!!!", she tripped and fell along with all of the boxes, in front of Lori. The chaos among the employees finally stopped. Everything became so silent that even the non existent sound of the air filling the showroom could be detected. The employee was still lying on the floor looking at 'the princess' like an idiot, but her eyes were glowing as she was stuck by Lori's aura. Lori looked down at her then bent down to sit in a deep squat. "Would you mind showing me to Mr. Edward's office?", she asked with her eyebrows raised and a smug smile. The employee looked blank for a moment then realising her question she finally answered, "Ye....yes-s!" She hurriedly stood up and proceeded to show Lori the way to Edward's office. As soon as they came in front of his office, Lori signalled
with her eyes telling her to go away. She did as she was asked without asking anything further.
"Oh wait. Before you go, get me a tea cup, an empty one obviously."
"Sure ma'am!", she quickly walked away.
"Here's the cup ma'am!", she handed over the cup along with a plate to Lori, after some minutes.
"Okay, now go."
"Yes ma'am", she respectfully bowed to her then disappeared from her sight.
"May I come in?", Lori asked after slightly knocking on the door. Edward's eyes widened as they shifted from the documents to her, asking for permission.
"You", his mouth automatically responded as he couldn't believe his eyes.
"Yes. Why? Can't I be here? Shall I go away then?", She asked, acting as if she was saddened by the way he looked surprised as if he didn't want her to be there.
"No no no! Why will you leave!? Ofcourse you can be here!", he responded as soon as he noticed her watery eyes realising she might have misunderstood him.
"So are you not gonna ask me to come in?"
"Oh- I'm so sorry! I didn't mean it like that! F*ck my brain! Please! Please, come in and have a seat!", he quickly tried to rectify whatever mistakes he made about which he himself had no idea.
She leisurely walked in and sat in front of him.
"Don't worry, I didn't feel bad. I know you must be overworked, here, have some coffee.", she said with a smile as she took out the flask from the paper bag then gently poured the coffee from it in the cup that the employee handed to her.
"Coff- coffee?!", Edward exclaimed as if he was again hit on his head!
"Yes coffee, 'with milk and one sugar cube'.", she smiled.
"Huh? Oh-....how do you know- ", Edward spaced out for a moment not realising what really was happening.
She wasn't supposed to know the way he liked his coffee unless he himself told her. Then again he knew he did tell her that himself.....but that was nothing but a dream which ofcourse felt too real not to be true, but given the circumstances, it can't be true. His wife wasn't wrong about the date either. It was really 17th. Moreover even if he considered the probability of confusing the dates and that he did actually go there but that date being 16th, then what actually happened after Lori held his hands to take him somewhere so that she could sing him a song?
"How did I know? Well ofcourse because you told me this with your own two lips.", Lori answered calmly.
Edward slowly held onto his head as it started aching. He was sweating and felt suffocated.
"Are you not feeling well?" Lori asked in concern.
"What- what happened after that-....after you said you wanted to sing me a song.....!?", he asked, being paranoid.
"Oh-", Lori's eyes glowed, "Do you wanna continue from where we left off earlier then?", she asked eagerly.
Edward looked at her in confusion.
She stood up and came closer and closer to him, their faces being so close that they could feel their breaths on each other. Not waiting for another moment, they pressed their lips against each others'.....
