Chapter 67 - Blood bath 4

Ethan moved behind the leader in a flash and put the tip of his sword into his neck. He slowly stepped forward when he heard multiple footsteps approaching him.

"You wanna use me as bait?" The leader asked, his face fearless.

Ethan didn't answer. He didn't come here to chat with anybody. He came here to kill.

The leader said again, "These folks don't give a dam about me. They might as well kill me along with you. "

"Well, you're pretty old, aren't you?" Ethan said. His features were not noticed since he hid them behind the mask, but the man could tell that the demon didn't care if he died or not.

"I'm 60. Why do you ask? Change of heart? "

"Then you're durable for a shield. Hope you don't shatter into pieces."

The leader's eyes widened, and Ethan could feel the man's instantaneous, rapid beating heart.

"Please! From the way you sound, I'm old enough to be your daddy. "

"That trick won't work on me, and for the record, I won't mind driving a sword to my father's heart if I had the strength."

The footsteps finally closed in.

Ethan gripped his sword tighter.

The man resigned his fate to the gods.

Then, Ethan finally saw them.

They all had massive guns with round muzzles that had faint traces of blue light. The guns also had energy bars on each side. The gun had no trigger.

It would go off with just a thought.

Ethan moved his gaze from the gun to the men holding it.

They looked like fitness instructors, but with their black sleeveless leader armor, it was safe to say they looked cool.

So bad they are about to be slaughtered.

"State your purpose on these premises. If not, we would fire." One of them said, through a microphone on his left shoulder.

"I was just passing by, and I thought I could kill some folks down here. Is there anything wrong with that? " Ethan smiled, his sharp fangs extended.

"He is a he, but it seems like he's got some nuts missing," the leader whispered to his teammates, and he grabbed his gun with fast reflexes and aimed at Ethan's head and shot out a stream of blue energy.

Ethan had already seen what the man wanted to do, so he saw it coming.

Luckily, he had a shield.

He grabbed the man and blocked the attack. The blue energy passed through the man's head, and at the same time, Ethan ducked low, and the blue energy flew past his head.

Ethan placed his hands on the man's pulse. He was dead, not like he expected the man to be alive. Either way, the shield still looks like it can stand a few more energy blasts, so he did the reasonable thing.

He picked it up again.

This time around, all the men shot out an energy blast.

Ethan used the dead body to shield the blasts, but the body had nothing left, only burnt holes.

He dropped the body.

"Why did I bring a sword to a gunfight?" Ethan placed the sword back into his spatial ring. It wasn't helping him in this situation.

He'll use the one thing he was very good at.

Burning people.

He pointed both hands out.

The men all stopped and looked at him. They didn't know if he had gone mad or was just posing for them.

"I give up," Ethan said, and the men let down their guards.

"Go apprehend him." The one who spoke earlier nudged another.

The man looked uncertain if he should obey or not because they were gunmen. They didn't have abilities, but he couldn't disobey his leader, so he mand up and walked forward.

When he got close, he saw the demon's fangs extending. He was smiling.

The man turned back to say something, but a fire bullet went through his skull and burst out the other side.

The men saw this and grabbed their guns, but in a flash, Ethan leaped up and sprayed down flame bullets on them.

They were all head short.

He shot their dead bodies one more time to make sure they wouldn't stand up again. He followed the door the gunmen came from and entered a large hall.

The hall he entered had only old rusty pillars with huge craters on the black oil-stained wooden floors.

The ship looked small from the outside, but it was far bigger on the inside than one would expect. And Ethan wondered how many rooms were even in the ships.

The number of men spanning out of it made him think that more men were waiting for him on the ship.

He walked slowly with one of the energy guns he had picked up from the last room.

Ethan knew that Kai couldn't afford many ability users because only gunmen and some ability users filled the ship. This made him believe that the purebloods, no matter how rich they were, didn't have all the money in the world.

But he knew they were pretty influential.

He hadn't encountered anyone in this room until now.

A boy of about 12 years. He wore black-stained dirty clothes that had several holes in them.

At first glance, Ethan already knew the Boulders did human trafficking in this era.

When he becomes a stronghold on earth, he promised to wipe out some pureblood families.

Starting with the Boulders.

"Hey, are you lost?" Ethan squatted in front of the kid.

The kid fiddled with his hands and moved his eyes from one place to another. When he saw no one else in the hall, he said, "Mr. Can you help me? "

Ethan's eyes glowed gold as he gazed into the boy's eyes.

"Get out of this ship and run far from here."

The boy's eyes went dead, and the next moment he ran out of the door Ethan came from.

"Rowena, is the scan complete?"

"Yes, they are keeping her in the next room."

"Lead the way."
