Freedom.
Misty had never known freedom could feel this good. All her life she had been at the beck and call of others. She had grown up in a poor family and had many nights when she had gone to bed hungry but she did not complain because it was all she had ever known.
When her father sold her to a slave trader she thought it would be the end of her but it in fact turned out to be her saving grace, in fact she was happy to go. As a virgin her price had bought enough to put food on the table for her younger sibling for at least a few months.
As a virgin, the slave trader put her up on the auction block, she was protected until she was exchanged. This was a business, damaged goods were not profitable. When she was selected by Adolph she felt fear. He was foreign and strange looking but he turned out to be in charge of Juval's harem.
"You'll do," said Adolph.
