"You really don't have to sleep here, Carpe." Hale Hopper said. "I'll be fine, I can manage."
Carpe just gave him a look as the candlelight formed sharp shadows on their face, accentuating even more their sharp features.
"I need to. What if your wound opens up again? What do you expect to do, crawl all the way to Petit Louis to patch you up while leaving a trail of blood?"
Hale Hopper scoffed. "Don't give me that attitude. I'm just worried that you would not be able to sleep properly if you stayed here, fumbling and worrying about me all the time."
