K-pop idols. Roh Eunwoo used to not have much of an opinion on them as they rose to popularity.
He just thought that they were the same as any other brand of celebrity: an actor, a singer, a dancer or a rapper. They just happen to be all of the above and have a stricter diet regimen and rules to follow. When he was in high school, he did not have any particular interest in them at all.
And then idol game shows came.
He realized for the first time the significance of idols. They're not just any regular brand of celebrities. He once watched a contestant break his legs and keep dancing so he won't get kicked out the show, and when asked why he doesn't want to give up his dream as an idol:
"Idols are not humans. They are something much more… And I want to be like that. I want to be more than the person I am today. Idols are gods."
