Wei Sizhi snapped back to his present surroundings. This time, he didn't collapse but did feel dizzy and stumbled on his feet.
Ren Jidian was there to catch and support him. "Are you alright?"
Wei Sizhi nodded, sweat dripping from his forehead. "I will be. Just.... Let me process my thoughts and emotions a bit. I want to make sure they're my own."
Ren Jidian did remember that whenever he did this, there was the danger of mixing up himself with other people. It was an extreme empathy, and he could only imagine how draining that must be. He took a handkerchief and wiped his beloved's sweat, fanning him, and taking care of him until he felt better.
Wei Sizhi suddenly chuckled a little. "Now I know where your fussiness came from. Mr. Ren wasn't really the fussy type when it comes to taking care of you."
Ren Jidian snorted. "My father was the scolding type. He never actually worries about me when I get in trouble, he just goes 'I told you so'."
