On the day that they would be formally attacking the inner city of Athens, Michael found himself feeling more conflicted.
The Aeon were safe in the sanctuary, so they must have felt that 6 months had been a short time. They wanted to stay longer in Pan's domain.
But 6 months had felt too long for Michael. Six months of pillaging random towns with the Demiurge, with Baphomet.
They first went for the more rural areas, and brought no mercy to them. But knowing what he knew now, Michael actually felt that they were giving them mercy compared to what Gabriel was doing.
He knows now. He could hear his thoughts somehow, and that scared him.
Because that means Gabriel let him hear it.
He wanted Michael to know what he was doing, and that may be part of his schemes too. They cannot underestimate just how manipulative he could be.
