Michael reached out to Samael and Dionysus for guidance on how to deal with Baphie. They advised that he shouldn't tell him about Gabriel's plans yet, and the return of Monad. They should just let him slowly unravel it, along with understanding his own feelings, all on his own.
It was difficult for Michael to keep quiet, though. Especially when he can see how they clearly yearn for each other.
It was just that Baphie and Gabriel were both so messed up that if one was not careful, it would be like igniting a fuse. Better have them kill each other than try to have the world killed when they get together.
