After the performance, there was a bit of an afterparty to celebrate the success. It's a pretty subdued type of afterparty, but there was still some warmth and laughter to it.
"You did well, Hakaku." Watanabe Endo smiled and greeted him.
Youngsun nodded. "I'm sure Tsukiyomi would have loved your performance while drinking sake on a night like this! That was sublime!"
"It really was amazing and also possibly groundbreaking for your family. They were at a loss of words." Shuku agreed with a wry smile.
Ren Jidian gave him a big thumbs up. "They weren't just at a loss for words, their jaws dropped all the way to the inner core of the Earth! Good job on proving them wrong, Hakaku!"
Hakaku nodded humbly from all the praise. "Thank you, everyone."
He turned to Maki, who had stayed quiet for a long while now after everyone greeted him and gave their regards for the wonderful kagura performance. He seemed lost in thought.
