What is omegaverse? (Do remember this is MY version of omegaverse, I know there are tons of other ones.)
Basically, people are divided into 3 subgenders besides their own sex or gender. There is Alpha, Beta, and Omega.
Alphas, no matter the sex, male or female, can make people pregnant.
Betas are just like how us people work. Males can impregnate, and females get pregnant.
Omegas get pregnant no matter the sex, male or female. They also undergo heat, which is a monthly cycle that makes them crave to be bred by Alphas. They emit a scent (pheromones) during heat that makes an Alpha go wild and lustful.Alphas are characterized to have a stronger, larger, and more athletic build than Betas and Omegas. Omegas have a weaker, smaller and more frail build than Betas and Alphas. Betas can vary.
There are exceptions to every rule, of course. But Ren Jidian and Wei Sizhi are both smaller and weaker types of Omegas. (Much to Ren Jidian's frustration.)

ADDITIONAL INFORMATION ABOUT MY OWN OMEGAVERSE LORE: (YES, I MADE THIS MYSELF)
The hierarchy of Alphas, Betas and Omegas puts males above females, because Alpha females can still give birth, though incredibly rare. Male Omegas can also impregnate, though also even rarer than a female Alpha giving birth.
And so the hierarchy goes:
1. Male Alphas
2. Female Alphas
3. Male Betas
4. Female Betas
5. Male Omegas
6. Female Omegas
7. Deviants
Identifying as non-binary is not that much of a problem as long as you stay in your subsex lane. Though some extremists of the gender, sex and subsex divide may see you as part of the 'deviants', it's still less discriminated compared to the rest.
Deviants:
Natural deviants are intersex, Alpha-esque and Omega-esque. Intersex has two types: androgyne or A/O intersex. Androgyne means you were born/have naturally developed both male and female traits. They are treated as a strange occurance to society, but not as discriminated as A/O intersex. A/O means you were born with/naturally developed both Alpha and Omega traits.
There is also the Alpha-esque, which are Omegas than look like Alphas appearance-wise, but still functions as an Omega. And Omega-esque is the opposite.
Unnatural deviants or transubsexuals are more discriminated and sometimes criminalized. Transubsexuals refers to people who identify different from their subsex. They can medically transition in modern times in order to have Alpha or Omega traits. 'Tsubs' is a slur used against transubsexuals.
