I decided to pick the Medusa as my opponent. Because it's a humanoid monster and smaller than the Basilisk. I leave the Basilisk to Belian because it's going to be easier for her spell to hit the Basilisk due to the enormous body...
And since Medusa is an archer, she should be at a disadvantage going against a CQC combatant like me...
Without hesitation, I flickered straight toward the Medusa... She immediately activate her Stone Gaze and slither away. But she didn't know that my eyes transcend her eyes... So it has no effect whatsoever. Although, it did give me a slow debuff.
But since Sylph's Blessing give me Speed Buff, it evens out. I don't need to cleanse it.
The Medusa shoots her arrow. It seems like she doesn't need to do anything. She doesn't need to take a proper form, she doesn't need to put an arrow on her bow... It was automatic...
"That's a problem... Now I lose my advantage."
It was bad in my opinion, but not a disaster. When I see the arrows going for my neck... I just constantly use Flicker to use the invincibility to dodge everything. And when the timing is perfect... I spread my hand and palm strike the chin of the Medusa...
"Gah!"
She flies to the air. And I use Flicker and put my hands together... I use Arcane Strike and smash the back of the Medusa down to the ground...
The second strike comes in and the ground beneath her shatters... I guess this is where I make my skill. Using Martial Arts combined with Absolute Wind Affinity...
I stomp the ground and immediately, a dragon figure made from wind, burst out from the ground... The dragon rises and then push the Medusa up toward the air along with the shattered ground around it...
"Taste that, Dragon Stomp."
'You have gotten the skill 'Dragon Stomp'.'
As I expected... If it was a martial arts related skill, I will be able to get it. Even if it involves magic. Because the core of the technique is still Martial Arts...
If that's the case...
I look up toward the Medusa's that is stunned by the Dragon Stomp mid air... And since it was a prime moment to combo a brand new skill with another brand new skill, I decided to Jump to the air... Focusing all of my power in my legs...
Yes, I jump, not using Flicker whatsoever...
I leap up and went past the Medusa... I move forward and line my feet with the Medusa's head... And now... It's time for the finisher.
"Finishing Strike!"
I push my leg really hard to the head of the Medusa... And I drive my leg down toward the ground without any hesitation. With full power, the shattered ground, got even more destroyed. The Medusa's head is gone... Her head was decapitated from my Finishing Strike... I got it as a skill and now I turn around to see Belian...
She's holding up pretty well against the Basilisk... I can see some scorched mark on the basilisk scales... She's holding up very well. But unfortunately, she can't really do it without her massive burst of damage. And since we're about to fight against the boss, we can't afford to use it right here.
"Need Help?"
"Umm... I think I might need some help. Flame doesn't work on this guy. Which is not a good sign."
"Alright, I'll use my Star Extinction right now."
"Yeah, that would be great. My Forbidden Time is ready too. So, use your Attack Amplification to kill it immediately."
Okay, I will. I use my Attack Amplification and immediately use my flicker to head straight toward the Basilisk... Of course, the basilisk notices me from the back. And it turn around to swat me away like a fly...
I didn't move at all. I just let the wind slowed me down naturally, and the basilisk misses by a hair breadth. Surprised by that, the Basilisk turns all of its attention toward me...
But it's too late at this point...
I punch the head of the Basilisk and activate Star Extinction... And I watch the Basilisk burn in agony, as usual. And I flickered straight back to Belian...
"Oh shit... I over focused..."
I fall down on my knees. This is why I don't like playing game too seriously... My brain overworked itself to the point that my head throb. Since NWO is very real, my brain thinks that I'm actually doing it to the point that my body physically get tired...
"A-Are you okay, Exu?! Should we stop for a bit?"
"Un... That would be nice... I want to rest up for a bit."
I sit down right in front of the gate. And of course, Belian also sit down next to me. She pulls my head down and put it on her lap. Which I immediately enjoy...
"You overworked yourself?"
"Yeah... I don't know how that happened, but I guess... Going over the limit of what the machine is possible is straining my brain."
"Uuhh... Right... Sometimes I forget that you are a very special man."
"You saying it like that really makes me feel weird... And bad..."
"Well, you thought of that, but it's not entirely wrong... Your eyes is too good for human being... Being able to read the flow of the world is definitely not normal... Even your doctor says that your eyes is very special and not many human have that sort of eyes. He even said that you are the first actual human that he sees with that condition."
Well, I don't really want to hear that from you, Belian... But I know that you don't mean too much harm... I will overlook this.
"Let's not mention about this anymore, Belian... My eyes are special, but at the same time, it's a curse... Because when people know about it... They are jealous."
"I know... Sorry for doing that."
Belian pat my head and then I started to calm down...
Although I don't like my eyes being mentioned, I actually loved my eyes a lot. It provides me with the ability to read the game perfectly. Making me very confident in the thing I do... That's why I never back away from fights. Because I can see where they're aiming by the flow of the wind.
Anyway though... Being pampered and spoiled by Belian... Is really the best... It took me three minutes to fully recover... And I'm all ready again...
"Alright... I feel happy and ready... Should we finish the raid? Belian?"
"Fufufu~ I know that this would make you fired up! Let's go!"
The two of us, enter the gate and goes toward the boss.
