Even though Hill lived a plain and happy life, he could see that not everyone around him was granted fairness and justice.
Not to mention William, who must have seen even more.
Hill had always respected William, precisely because of the clothes William wore when the World Will broadcast his conversation with the high and mighty.
Although Hill didn't receive any rescue and struggled for a while before he couldn't hold on any longer, he was still grateful to those soldiers who risked their lives to rush in.
