She saw a van emerge from around the corner, heading off into the distance, and immediately followed behind, curious to see where this group of survivors was going.
For Cao Yan, who these people were didn't matter. She was a woman, and women often had advantages over men, especially now, at the end of the world, when women were scarce. The fewer there were, the more valuable and important they became.
What were men like, anyway?
Cao Yan knew all too well.
"Mingxuan, there's a car following us," a survivor inside the van said, glancing back. They didn't know who was behind them, but they weren't worried. They were heading to the prison, after all, which was crowded with people. What was there to fear?
He Mingxuan glanced at the rearview mirror, "Let it be."
He didn't care. Let them follow if they wanted. He had grown numb to the apocalypse. The prison wasn't a pleasant place, but it was the only place he could climb up in rank.
