MICHEAL URADA
I got screwed over.
I really did.
It happened just after I was done hanging out in Flamingo with my usual group, on the same day as when I had visited the literature club. With the evening coming to an end, I was on my way to my dorm room.
Now here is where the problem was, my dorm was on the third floor. And currently, Jack and his friends had decided to camp on the second floor staircase that led up to the third floor.
"Hey, Urada! Wait here for a second." Jack spoke much to dismay.
He was seated two steps above everyone, and just two steps below him sat two of his friends on each of his side. Plus, there was a short guy who was up on his, leaning against the wall with a cruel smile om his face. And directly opposite the four stood a familiar looking guy who was staring down at his shoes as he clutched the backpack.
As I was called over, I walked over to them with alarms bells going on in my head. And with a signal from the short guy I stopped as soon as I was standing besides the backpack guy.
"So Lich, you were telling us it was the friend of Urada that approached her?" The short guy asked looking between me and the backpack guy, Lich.
As soon as I heard that I recognised Lich and began connecting the dots in my head.
He is the guy, who was sitting behind Sephtis and Juan when they went over to talk to Edina Agustine. Di-Did he tell Jack everything he saw?!? Oh, dear Almighty Sun, of course he would! The guy was probably situated in that class to monitor her. With how infatuated Jack is with her of course he would get someone to follow her around and then report back to him.
And then when I saw Lich nodding his head I wanted to come to my defense at once.
"Well, well. What have you got to say Urada?" Jack spoke for the first time and immediately the pressure was on me.
"I-it was in the literature class and it was me and Sephtis and then another first-year guy. I didn't talk to the first-year guy that much. He wanted to talk to E-her. And then Sephtis and Juan talked to her. Not me. I was sitting far away, I had nothing to do with that." I stammered to confess my innocence in all this.
"Juan.. Huh." Jack muttered, his hands strocking his chin where stubble was apparent.
While Jack seemed to be in thought, a guy who was sitting to his right leaned forward with a smile. He was Ken from class-A, a mascular guy who was famous among our year for being a delinquent. In fact, all four of them were infamous because of it.
There was Ken along with Chester, the guy sitting on the left of Jack, who were infamous delinquents of our year. There was also the 'Shorty'. His real name was Hive, but all of Jack's friends called him that so he was more known for his nickname. But he wasn't as harmless as his nickname portrayed him to bs. In fact, he was an absolute menace.
Ken, Chester, and Jack were intimidating enough but they only picked on some specific people so as long as you kept your head down, you could pass by them with no trouble. But 'Shorty' was different. You look him the wrong way, he would punch you. You try talk to him, he would kick you. You quietly pass by him on the hall, he will shove you and beat you up.
He could become your enemy for no reason and mercilessly pick on you, so guys from classes that were not class-A had to be really careful to avoid him.
Together with Jack and others support, 'Shorty' was just unstoppable. Looking at them, sometimes I feel like it was good that I wasn't put in class-A. Who knows what my fate would've been if I had been in the same class as them.
Just then Jack sighed as he looked down at me.
"Urada, I know you are nice guy-"
"With an even nicer sister."
Shorty interjected and at once all four of them burt out lalaughing.
"And the nicer sister has an even nicer friend." Chester added, the historical laughter suddenly reached its peak as from the corner of my eye I could even see Lich's shoulder moving up and down.
Why does this always happen to me? I have done absolutely nothing to deserve this and yet, only I have to suffer for no reason.
"Haha, true. If Erina wasn't there,I would've taken them by now." Jack said as a disgusting smile flashed across his face.
"Well some of us still want to." Shorty added and blood rushed to my face. But alas no words came out.
"All in all, Urada. We have no reason to hurt you. None of us want that. Its just that Erina is very close to my heart. I have to set an example so that other don't eye her. You know, just like just like I did last year but this time for the first-year students."
The more Jack spoke, the more I wanted to run away from here. Remembering the 'example' from last year, I involuntarily shuddered.
In the begining of our first-year, Erina Royalte was someone that every other first-year undoubtedly wanted to date. It was to such degree that of the Opening Ceremony, she had already received some proposal.
Of course, with her status she didn't even need to raise her voice to stop people from pestering her. But there were some guys that thought too much of themselves and had proclaimed that they would one day make her theirs. And one such person was Jack.
And he was also the strongest male student amongst our year. A total bully who easily eliminated all the other competition. Going as far as making an 'example' of a class-A student who was in a similar boat. Beating him to such a degree that the student had to leave the school on his second day.
That effectively scared off any other male student from ever trying to make contact with Erina. To this date, there was only one exception to this. A student who had enrolled late into the year and also belonged to one of the 10 Royal Families. That was of course Sephtis.
But not every student had the backing of the one of the Royal Family. And so of course, when Jack told me to get involved in his plan to 'set an example' out of the first-year student.
I had no option, but to fold.

The next day, I was back at the Literature Club.
