I walked up to her with all foreboding in me.
"A ruddy lad, I must add".
She snapped her fingers. The knife held in steady position as she loosened her grip.
"Such beauty about to waste away. Such a shame".
A loud bark came from behind me.
She walked past me.
"Arrgh, of course, Sam. You get to kill him after I'm done".
"Let them go!".
She turned back sharply.
"And who are you to order me, heh?".
The grip of the knife tightened on Chief Rei.
I could see some part of his skin burning away, as if trying to repel the knife.
"Stop, stop. Fine, I'll do whatever you ask. Just stop it".
She let out an evil chuckle.
"Come on now, pureblood. Time to fulfil your word".
She walked a few steps forward.
She stopped and turned her back.
"And for your information; the best oakwood available in all the Muggles'. I wouldn't advice any funny business".
She flashed an evil grin.
She continued walking.
She signalled me to follow her.
BECCA POV:
I looked on as Dad and Sarah were being held captive.
I couldn't help but feel weak.
It felt exactly like that day. The same feeling of helplessness, just watching your family die.
My dad's voice still echoed in my head.
*************
"I thought we were allies. We helped you win your bloody World War!".
"Allies with monsters like you? Snap out of it. We only needed you to help us win the war. Now after the war, we discovered we didn't need allies anymore. We need power!
We don't want any nation to stand in our way. When we sneeze, we want to world to tremble. That's all. Now, business over. No hard feelings".
"Now, get the specimen and kill these abominations!".
"Yes, General!".
"Kill them!".
****************
I shook my head to snap out of it.
But, it was too late.
Tears had started to drop from my eyes.
My tear dropped to the ground.
I really wished I could do something, just something.
Suddenly, I saw a twinkle show from my tear.
I looked closer but I couldn't find anything.
I could swear I saw something but l didn't.
Suddenly, the ground began to quake.
The floor shook like mere pottery.
A loud shrill cry was heard from beyond the walls.
A loud thud accompanied the cry.
And another!
And another!
Yet another!
Soon, cracks started to creep through the ground.
Another sharp cry filled the room.
I looked around in confusion.
I looked at my father. He looked horrified.
I could only hear him gasp out a name, one I could barely hear.
"Oxiagal!".
My eyes widened in shock, after comprehending his words.
"Ace, what have you done?" was all that could come out of my mouth.
I looked around. The wolves slowly started to retreat.
'Did they know about this?!'.
That wasn't important. The top priority was to save my family from becoming appetizers for Oxiagal.
Suddenly, a whisper filtered into my ears.
"Under the carpet! Quick!".
I looked around to find the source but couldn't.
Then, I just decided to obey the instructions.
I quickly but stealthily snuck my hands under the carpet to avoid attracting attention.
I felt a latch. I quickly slid it to the sides.
I dipped my hand into the space.
I could feel the thuds getting closer.
Sounds of bricks falling accompanied it.
The thuds were getting more frequent.
Oxiagal was running!
I quickly searched inside the hollow.
I felt something warm and electrifying.
I quickly brought it out.
It was a paper with spells written on it.
It was a talisman!
"Think of a safe place quickly!".
I was trying to think of something, but the noise wouldn't let me cooperate.
Suddenly, Oxiagal burst into the room we were occupying.
It let out another cry.
The wolves started to run away in different directions.
I looked towards Dad and Sarah.
The witch holding Sarah tripped.
The knife in her hand fell.
But DAD!
The knife went right through his throat to the other side.
"Dad!".
I let that out with every fibre of my being.
I just saw his head fall down, severed from his body.
Just then, the talisman fell out of my hand and hit the ground.
A bright light shine from the talisman.
A great force of energy started to swirl around in the room.
A light shone from a symbol on my shoulder.
It started to suck all of us in, one by one.
"No! Stop the...!".
The witch's voice ended as soon as it begun.
Oxiagal splashed her organs all over the room, under it's foot.
It started to suck me in.
Oxiagal tried to come after us, but a great force seemed to separate us.
"Dad! Dad! No!!!" I yelled with tear-filled eyes.
I could only watch as his lifeless body lay on the ground and I was finally sucked in.
