I was eating a sandwich, I would like to say a simple turkey sandwich. However there was no turkey in Remnant. Nonetheless the sandwich was made from some bird and some healthy greens. I heard a knock on the door.
I sighed, this was not a teacher visit. Most of them don't knock. "Come in!"
Pyrrha Nikos walked through the door. "Uh, hello sir! Do you have time to talk?"
I looked up from my sandwich. "Yes?"
Pyrrha gave a confident smile and nodded, "I believe my team member Jaune is being bullied. He is our leader and I believe he is a perfect leader. However I don't want to see him suffer under the pressure not to mention any bullying."
I looked at her and studied her face. A tiny bit of nervousness slipped through. "What do you want me to do? Why come to me."
She rubbed her arm, "Uh, well. Miss Goodwitch told me to ask you."
Ah, Glynda was passing this off to me as a test. It has been a week and I've been doing well. So she sent this girl here as a test to see how I handle the situation. However was someone really already bullying people already? I sighed, "Explain the bullying to me."
I put down my sandwich and Pyrrha nodded. "Well, it is this boy named Cardin. He hasn't just been bullying Jaune. He also been making fun of other students. I believe a second year named Velvet has caught his attention."
I raised an eyebrow, "He's picking on a second year?"
Pyrrha nodded, "Velvet is very shy from what I can tell. When her team is around Cardin stays far away from them. However whenever Velvet is alone, Cardin will pull on her ears. She is a Faunus with long rabbit ears."
Ah, racism. Perhaps another reason Glynda pushed this off on me. Maybe that was the paranoia talking though. I held up a finger and pulled out my scroll. I checked Cardin's profile. His team was actually formed from two people from his hometown. Only one of them was new, but he clicked instantly with them.
I noticed they had an infraction already. It seems one of the teachers caught him and his team drinking. His semblance was... Undiscovered. I big grin formed on my face. I looked at Pyrrha as I set down my scroll.
She was nervous and I smiled, "How willing are you to help your team's leader?"
Pyrrha stiffened, "I'll do anything!"
I smiled, I don't think I'll need to use my semblance on this girl. So I formed a plan in my head. "Great! Let's start with something simple. Jaune has entered the school with fake credentials. As far as I know this is meaningless. It is a skill to acquire such things after all. The catch to this, is Jaune has no combat experience. He didn't know what aura or semblances are and he has a late start. You understand."
Pyrrha bit her lip. "I see, that does make sense. How does th-"
I jumped up, "Simple! Train him. Pyrrha, are you not one of the best first years? Tell me, could you not fight most of the second years and if not some of the third years?"
She bit her lip more. This time she bit a little too hard. This girl was far too humble. I grabbed a tissue and held it out to her. She grabbed it and held it to her not bleeding lip. I sat back down, "Jaune also was one of the individuals I was going to call in for semblance training. So I want you to teach him combat skills. Also tell me if someone discovers he faked his entry. After all he was allowed to enter the school for a reason."
Pyrrha nodded, "Thank you sir!"
I stopped her, "Wait!"
She stopped before she left, "Yes?"
I gave a light smile, "Pyrrha, you are the best of the first years. I would appreciate you come to me for any other problems. A favor for a favor kind of deal. In this case I'll help you with Jaune and in return you help me train him. You understand?"
Pyrrha thought for a second, "A favor for a favor?"
I nodded, "Indeed, you are very humble Pyrrha. Placed on a pedestal. This method of a favor for a favor will improve your self-worth. I've seen many like yourself, proclaimed geniuses. All struggling under the pressure to live up to such a standard. So any problem you face, just ask for a favor and I'll ask one in return."
Pyrrha face brightened, "Th-Thank you. I'd be happy to do that sir."
She walked out the room slowly. I checked out her legs as she walked. Pyrrha would be far more useful than most. I doubted I would ever need to use my semblance on her. Now I guess I had to handle the rest of what she mentioned.
Velvet... I grinned, A second year. I didn't really have access to the second years. With this I could intervene though. Not to mention I am a Faunus. Since Glynda pushed this off onto me. With a little effort I can certainly make this my problem.
I picked up my sandwich and took a big bite.
