I was in the firm camp of children sucked. However I was starting to think I should include all students too. They were all just talking away, no care for anything else. "Enchant: Silence!"
I shouted out and suddenly the classroom went dead silent. Not because they wanted to be. A few still tried to talk, however thanks to my semblance they were all forced into sweet silence. I smiled, "Alrighty! Let's keep this simple, this is a class to train your Semblances. Now I'm sure some of you have the stupid question. Why do we need to train our semblances!"
I frowned, "Because then maybe you would be able to do things like I just did shutting you all up."
I clapped my hands releasing my semblance. Allowing them to speak again, "Any other stupid questions?"
Jaune raised his hand, "What if we don't know our semblance?"
I nodded, "Simple, you learn it. On top of that, if you think your semblance is situational or weak. You increase its effectiveness or learn new ways to use it. Any other stupid questions?"
It seemed my attitude curbed most of their questions. So I nodded, "Let's use the best of you as an example. Pyrrha Nikos, your semblance. How did you train it?"
I had to word my questions carefully some of the students had their semblances as hidden. Meaning I was allowed to know them, but I couldn't really talk about them. I assume Pyrrha's case was something like security.
Pyrrha nodded, "Well, I used heavier objects to train my semblance and over time it got stronger."
I nodded, "Nice and simple. Now let's try... Blake Belladonna. In the past did you train your semblance?"
She looked around, "Huh? I uh, Well i got a lot of use out of it when I was younger."
Heh, that was one way to put it. I nodded, "Nice and simple, yet again. So let me ask Weiss Schnee, why is that your semblance is inherited and yet so weak compared to previous users?"
She looked taken a back. "Now Pyrrha is an example of power, while Blake is an example in control. Weiss is an example of failure. There is living proof of the potential and power of her semblance however the only thing she has is her relative control over it." Weiss sputtered and her face reddened in embarrassment.
I however didn't care and continued. "This is why this class exists. To train said abilities. When we are in this classroom you will learn theory around aura and semblances. After that you will either go to sparring. Or be selected for one on one lessons about your semblance. After all, not every semblance is the same."
Not to mentioned some of them were documented as secrets like in the case of Pyrrha. I smiled, "The first to be selected for a lesson on their semblance is Weiss. Lucky you, stay after class. Now onward to basic aura theory. After all some of you only just recently learned the stuff."
This time Jaune and 2 other students grew embarrassed. It seems he wasn't the only one to never unlock their aura. I began the lecture starting with how aura manifests. I watched the class carefully to see who was remotely paying attention.
Weiss despite my comments took notes diligently. The Ruby girl seemed to be falling asleep. A boy named Cardin was throwing crumbled pieces of paper at Jaune. Analyzing the rest of the room it seemed most of them either accepted this was a part of becoming a huntsman or were showing signs of bored.
I got to the end of my lecture, "I hope you took notes, eventually I will test you on this information. Since I finished early you may leave for your next class. I don't wish to be bothered by your noise. Weiss stay here."
She grumbled, but remained in her seat. Once all the other students left I turned to her. "Let's begin with why don't you use your summoning. It is listed under your semblance abilities, but is crossed out. So can you actually use that part of your abilities and you just don't know how. Or are you just unable to use it due to some other problem."
Weiss puckered her lips in a sour expression. "Both, I was taught on how to do by my sister, but..."
I looked at her, "Weiss I will say this. You are Diligent and Honest. I watched you write notes despite knowing the lesson. You can easily fix your weakness if you just learn a little more. You see my semblance is called enchant. In the past I had only ever used it to cast elements onto my armaments without dust. Now though, it is much stronger."
She seemed to be stunned. I couldn't help roll my eyes. Weiss wanted to prove herself. I looked her up and down. "Cast your semblance. I saw it during team selections, but I want to see it up close."
She sighed, and casted her semblance on the ground. "Its called Glyphs. Is that all?"
I touched the summoning circle like object. I instantly got an idea of how her semblance worked. It seemed her semblance worked like ritual magic. The stuff of fantasy novels for big magic techniques.
I nodded, "Can you alter the circle?"
The prissy little girl looked at me like she wouldn't do as I asked. however the next moment the circle changed. It felt slippery now though. "This accelerates things?"
She nodded, "Alright I understand your semblance. I will draw a glyph I want you to copy."
Weiss shook her head, "Wh-What? Why? I'm not gonna do that."
Was this girl for real? I sighed, "In the future we will work on your personality."
I drew the image of a glyph similar to the ones created by her semblance. However the one I drew was a square and filled with circles. "Try this."
She looked down and shook her head, "Are you dull? This is a square."
This girl is worse than some of soldiers I had dealt with in the past. Those soldiers normally I left for dead. However I couldn't just do that with this girl. I sighed, "Fine, Enchant: Obedience."
She froze, "What a-"
I interrupted her, "Zip it princess. I tried to be nice, but clearly you don't have respect for your teachers. You will never speak of being under the influence of my semblance. Now try to copy the Glyph I drew using your semblance."
She followed the same action she preformed earlier. However this time the glyph I drew formed, it had a blue hue. "Interesting, You may speak again, but tell me what this glyph does."
She tried to resist, but she explained anyway. "It accelerates things just like the other glyph I made." Once she was done explaining, she asked, "How are you doing this!"
I looked at her, "My semblance. I now understand why you can't use the summoning part of your glyphs. In your spare time study the forms and information of all the enemies you have ever defeated. You are dismissed for now Princess. Oh and be a good girl."
Her body relaxed and she shook her head. "I uh, You! I- uh...Tch."
She left the room still under the effects of Obedience. She tried to stomp away, but instead she walked out at a smooth pace. Which just seemed to make her angrier. I think I'll enjoy being a teacher.
Corrupting the next generation of Hunters and Huntresses. Oh this will be so much fun.
